How to Make Pulut Kuning

Well, today I will share a food recipe that is quite popular in Indonesia, usually this food is often used for opening a business, buying a new car or motorcycle and various other events. Well, to make yellow pulut, all you have to prepare is turmeric powder, glutinous rice that has been soaked overnight or it can be soaked for 3-4 hours, salt, sugar, coconut milk, grated coconut, brown sugar and the last one is pandan leaves. . Only a few ingredients that you have to prepare to make this yellow pulut, you can get all these materials at the nearest wholesaler. After all the ingredients have been prepared, now let's start the first stage.

The first stage, all you have to do is place a small place and pour enough, then add turmeric powder to taste. You can also use grated turmeric, then add a little water, then strain the turmeric water. I use turmeric powder because it is more practical.

The second stage, after you have prepared the turmeric water, now prepare a pan and pour 1 cup coconut milk, 2 pandan leaves, half a teaspoon of salt and pour the turmeric water solution that you made earlier. After that, cook the coconut milk until it boils using medium heat. Don't forget to stir continuously so the coconut milk doesn't break.

The third stage, after the coconut milk has been cooked until it boils, now prepare a steamer and put the weight of the sticky rice that has been soaked overnight, then put 1 pandan leaf. Steam the glutinous rice for about 20 minutes until the glutinous rice is half cooked.

The fourth stage, while the glutinous rice is being steamed for 20 minutes, now prepare the brown sugar and cut the brown sugar into small pieces like the photo above.

The fifth stage, after the glutinous rice has been steamed until half cooked, move the glutinous rice to another place, then pour the coconut milk that you have cooked gradually and don't pour it all right away. Then stir the glutinous rice until it turns yellow.

Well, the result is like the photo above, the color of the glutinous rice will turn dark yellow like turmeric powder. If you think the color of glutinous rice is not yellow to your liking, you can also add more coconut milk with turmeric powder.

The sixth stage, after you think the color of the glutinous rice is to your liking, now prepare a steamer and steam the glutinous rice again. Steam the glutinous rice for 20 minutes and cover the steamer.

The seventh stage, while waiting for the glutinous rice to be steamed for 20 minutes, now we will make the coconut core for the yellow pulut. Now, prepare a pan and pour the brown sugar that you have cut into pieces, half a teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar, 1 pandan leaf and the last half a glass of mineral water. Then enter until the brown sugar dissolves and boils over low heat.

The eighth stage, after the brown sugar has dissolved and boils, now add the grated coconut into the pan and cook until the brown sugar water seeps into the grated coconut. Then stir until there is no brown sugar water left and keep using low heat to cook the coconut core.

The ninth stage, after the coconut core and yellow pulut are ready, now prepare a plate to move the coconut core and yellow pulut.

The tenth stage, prepare a bowl and place the coconut core in a bowl, compact the coconut core until it is shaped like the bowl you are using.

The last stage, use the same bowl to print the yellow pulut, after that place the coconut core on top of the yellow pulut that you have printed using a bowl. After that pulut kuning can be served to your friends.
