Well, on this sunny Wednesday, Ema and I will share a recipe for a traditional Semarang cake called Sentiling. Sentiling is a cake made of cassava or usually this cake is called lapis cassava. how to make this cassava layer cake is also very simple. Well, for those of you who are interested in making this sentiling, just see the recipe below until it's finished. Good luck Hivers!  <center>photo by me</center> well, the ingredients you have to prepare to make this sentiling are certainly very simple and you can buy all the recipes for these ingredients at the supermarket or the nearest market in your house. The first ingredients you have to prepare are grated cassava, sugar, salt, white gelatin, vanilla powder, instant coconut milk, white coconut, red, yellow and green food coloring, mineral water.  <center>photo by me</center> The first step, what you have to do first is find a place and put 500 grams of cassava that you have previously grated, 1 sachet of instant coconut milk, 70 ml of water, half a teaspoon of salt and 7 tablespoons of sugar. After that, stir until well blended using a spoon only.  <center>photo by me</center> the second step, after you have kneaded the dough until well blended, then what you have to do is put 1 tablespoon of white gelatin powder and 1 sachet of vanilla powder. After that, stir the dough again until the gelatin powder is evenly mixed.  <center>photo by me</center> the third step, after the dough is finished, then prepare 3 different places and divide the dough into 3 different parts. make sure you divide the dough by the same weight.  <center>photo by me</center> the fourth step, after the dough has been divided into 3 parts, the next thing you have to do is give food coloring with the color you want for the three doughs. then stir until the dough changes color.  <center>photo by me</center> the fifth step, after the dough has been given food coloring and stirred until it changes color, then prepare a baking sheet and spread cooking oil evenly into the pan. then, prepare the banana leaves and apply cooking oil as well and put the banana leaves into the pan. You can also use a brownie pan to make this cake.  <center>photo by me</center> the sixth step, after the pan has been smeared with cooking oil, the next thing you have to do is prepare a steamer and heat the steamer for a few minutes. After the steamer is hot, put the pan into the oven and put the first mixture into the pan. Then, steam the dough for 10 minutes over medium heat.  <center>photo by me</center> seventh step, after the first dough has been steamed for 10 minutes, then enter the second dough into the pan and steam the second dough again for 10 minutes and keep using medium heat. after the second dough has been steamed for 10 minutes, now put the third dough on top of the second dough and steam for another 20 minutes.  <center>photo by me</center> the eighth step, after the dough has been steamed and is being warmed, then prepare a place and put enough white coconut into the place, then put half a teaspoon of salt and a piece of pandan leaf. Then, steam the white coconut for about 10 minutes so that the white coconut doesn't go stale easily.  <center>photo by me</center> the last step, after you have steamed the coconut so it doesn't go stale, then remove the sentiling from the pan and cut the sentiling cake slowly, making sure you coat the knife with plastic so that the knife doesn't stick to the cake. steam.  <center>photo by me</center> and now, you can serve the sentiling cake to your family and friends. Sentiling cake has a chewy texture because it uses agar powder and also the taste of this sentiling cake is very distinctive. not a few people are looking for this sentiling cake because the taste of this cake is very delicious and also unique.
