I repeat ⚠️This is NOT an endorsement⚠️ The last thing I would ever want to do is try to convince someone to invest into something that ended up failing. My guilt would be as deep as the atlantic.  I am doing this to document my experience with this platform and maybe help others make a decision for themselves. I will not post my referral link for 3 reasons. 
1. People who feel it is a scam may flag me and I don't want that to happen. 
2. I don't want to try and influence someone to make any investment decisions by placing my link here. 
3. I could care less about referrals, I can see the potential of the platform with out referrals. I'm a very small fish and it wouldn't matter much anyway if I tried to spam my link out there. 

My random reasoning as to why I finally jumped in. 
I make decisions for myself based off of the information available. Ideas and opinions from others will not ultimately persuade me but will help me form my own opinions and I now feel I have absorbed enough information to be able to form my own opinions. 
I plan to put a lot more time, money and effort into Steemit and powering up is my ultimate goal. I see the long term value of it so I plan to do what I have to do to be able to achieve this. I feel Bitconnect will be a tool that will aid in this goal. 
I jumped into this because my gut and the bit of info I've learned so far allowed it to happen. My knowledge is limited to this cryptocurrency world and there are many questions I may receive that I won't have the answers to. I am in my infancy when it comes to CC's but I feel I know enough to risk money that I am willing to lose. Everything I have invested in CC's so far is pretty much gone in my eyes, never to return again and I can live with that. 

**FOMO**

I'm sick of missing out... Tired of it. As a rookie day trader and swing trader I've missed out on many opportunities to get in early on something that goes to the moon because I was worried about losing on my investment or due to fear based off of past losses. I dismissed bitcoin back when I first heard about it due to people calling it a scam...Huge mistake! Listening to people say somethings going to be a scam or it's going to go to the moon has never gotten me anywhere but taking the opinions in and then researching till my eyes are bloodshot and then forming my own opinions has helped. Me sitting here on some site called steemit getting rewards in so called "monopoly" money is proof of that. 

**Thoughts on the nay sayers**

I can understand people wanting to help other people avoid taking losses and that's cool. I see that a lot when it comes to BCC and CC's. I think things go south when one person calls another person an effin idiot because of their choice to invest in it but I would say in my experience this is more of a rare situation in regard to BCC. A lot of the aggressive behavior I see from the nay sayers is directed at people spamming their referral link and I will never be one of those people so I don't expect any flack from that. I see the most aggressive words directed at people who are very successful financially and who receive big gains from the referral code. It makes me wonder if this would be the same without a referral program. Not sure but I think it's admirable that many investors and steemians have a genuine interest in helping others come to conclusions. 

**Thoughts on the yay sayers**

Many of you BCC investors already know the risks involved and most likely know more than I do so I don't really have any words for you other than I wish you success. For the people who are just learning about it and feeling pumped, I recommend to slow it down a bit, read/watch a lot of content (see links below) and know what you're getting into. Don't put Bae's wedding ring on the market unless she's your ex Bae ;) Be careful and cautious about posting your referral code in Steemit. There are people who do not like it very much. Luckily I learned this the easy way and that's through seeing other people getting flagged for it and not myself. Realize if you are bringing friends and family into this that they may potentially make OR lose money, who knows..

**Referral codes**

What I do know is that referral codes are used on a daily basis from everything to credit card offers to food delivery programs, example if I get a friend or family member to sign up for a delta amex card I'll get 5000 airmiles, I've done this once and it was a win win. Other than that there are tons of other situations where referral programs are in place so this and other things I've learned lead me to not have too much fear in regard to this part of the platform. It makes sense to me for this to be in place. 

**Scam**

I do not know if this is a scam just like I do not know if Bitcoin is a scam but I am willing to take the chance. After hours and hours of research and 5 days of making around 1% in a bear market while all my other crypto investments are taking a crap, I'm comfortable enough to invest more. 

I've made the choice to put up the $100 worth of bitcoin for two of the people closest to me so I can get them into BCC. This way they have zero risk involved because I don't want them to miss out but I would not feel comfortable if they used their own money and lost it on something I recomended. Fortunately enough I can afford to do this. No wife, kids or auto/home loans. 

Summary 

This could absolutely be a scam. I may end up feeling like a complete idiot or simply feel let down the same way I felt when I realized my Gopro stocks were taking a crap and I was down 75%. I could also end up feeling the same way I do when I look at my 401k (retirement investment fund) gains
We shall see.
