Steemit Posting Limit Proposal
Steemit is an awesome platform where you can get paid to post blogs, while this is great, there are many gaming the system. Example: @bogartgaming, there are many many many more examples but for this post we'll just be using that account.

Everyday this guy churns out tons of content, and some of it gets upvotes, now I know that currently he isn't making money because there are bots dedicated to down-voting plagiarized content, but he should still not be able to pollute the steemit ecosystem and have the possibility to make money.

People who are consistently downvoted should lose steem power. That steem can go to content creators like me who give genuine insights and ideas.

There should be steem power brackets. The more steem power you have, the more you can post.

# If you have less than 10 steem power you can post twice a day
## if you have more than 10 steem power, you can post three times a day.
### If you have more than 1000 steem power you can post four times a day

There should also be commenting limits per day based on how new you are.

# If you have less than 10 steem power you can comment 5 times a day
## if you have more than 10 steem power, you can comment 10 times a day.
## If you have more than 1000 steem power you can comment 15 times a day

The new accounts would no longer be able to spam. It would also make the people who would like to spam spend a few thousand dollars supporting the ecosystem before they were allowed to pollute it.

Also having the limit on a low amount of posts makes sure people want to create quality content.

[I posted an awesome, motivational video of my adventures in the San Bernadino Mountains](https://steemit.com/hiking/@johngalt/get-off-your-lazy-ass) and I received a whopping 3 cents, and what bothered me the most was that I saw plagiarized news articles replace my article in the new section. No wonder my content didn't get traction, there was so much spam preventing others from seeing what I had to say.

Also I'm not claiming that my posting limit proposal is perfect - in fact it is far from it, it is just a start, but we need an open conversation about spam when it is always in our faces, in the comment section, in the new section. We can all agree that something has to be done.
