Circa Survive - Juturna

Label: Equal Vision Records

Genre: Emo/ Alt Rock

Juturna is the debut album by American alternative rock band Circa Survive. Named after the Roman Goddess of fountains, wells and springs and was taken as the album title to symbolize a new beginning for the band's members. Circa Survive quickly made a name for themselves in the indie music scene in little over two years with their 2005 debut album, Juturna, and second album, On Letting Go, released in 2007.

I remember the day I was first introduced to this album vividly, it was 2007 and a friend was playing it the car on the way to York for a night out. To say it captivated me would be an understatement. I was never really that into the emo scene, but there were a few artists that I enjoyed. I completely forgot about this album until a few years ago when I was rummaging through a loose disc box at a music store, and there it was, begging to be played on repeat in my car.
