Because when we met
You never read;

<br>You thought  I was crazy
But hated being left out
Of anything.

One day I came home 
And found your book— 
3o Days to a Better Vocabulary,

You were embarrassed
But I was touched 
You cared enough to share with me.

Now you read more than me
And know when my writing
Is off or hasty,

You have taste
That can’t be taught 
And hate it when I’m lazy.

I regret the day I joked,
 I took you
From crayons to perfume,

It was you 
Who taught me
And helped me to improve.

You know more than me
My shortfalls
And excuses,

So I write this poem
To thank you—
You're my Muse and music.</center>
