I haven't worked for anyone in my adult life, so having a traditional 9 to 5 wasn't something I though I could get used to. But it's been pretty amazing so far. I think the saying is true, when you love what you do you never work a day in your life. I consider myself very lucky on that side of things....For over 20 years, I loved my online businesses. Now I love being able to work for my church. So blessed! But there's a few downfalls to this new career path. First, the lack of time to get things done on chain that I would normally do, including the podcast. I checked and this is the least amount of posts I've done over the past 6 years on chain lol I'm sure things will get smoothed out once I'm in the groove but this isn't even the toughest situation for me.... Over the next few weeks, I need to learn everything I can about the publishing and printed ministries for my church. Which includes the complete in's and out's of the bookstore. And if you know me, you can already tell where things can go south very quickly for me.... I've already spent a small fortune on the books I'm surrounded by every day lol I had to laugh when I checked what I have purchased over the past 7 days of employment at the store and it was quite the haul....I'm just saying, put me into this type of environment, where I am surrounded by books and bibles, and watch out lol The great thing about this experience so far is the ability I have had to rub off on some of my co-workers. A few of them have been blown away at my knowledge of the books that we are selling, and have started reading more this past week because they see how passionate I am about what we are selling. This is great!! So yeah, maybe a 'curse' isn't the right way to look at my obsession with books lol #### A double blessing? That's how I am looking at it. This truly has been such a rewarding experience already and I'm only a week and a half into it. We're planning the next few weeks in the store as well, to gt me up to speed and then I'll be hitting the road to take the ministry across western Canada.
