It's been quite the week....

So let's dive into the land of Jongo and see what's going on in his life.  Big changes ahead because my mom finally moved out west to Alberta from Newfoundland.

Backstory....

She's getting up there in age.  All her grandkids live out here, I'm out here, so basically her entire family is here.  She was living alone and last year took a fall.  She hurt herself but because no one lived with her, she was basically immobilized for a few days.  She got very sick because she couldn't care for herself after the fall and we both decided....It was time for her to pack her things and move lol

She'll be living with my wife and kids going forward because I truly believe this is the right thing for us to do...Our parents raised us and cared for us, so when they reach a certain age they should now be taken care of by us.  Not in a nursing home, but living with their family for as long as possible.  She's not 'old old' by any means lol But this is the latter part of her life and I think she needs to be surrounded by her family and loved ones.

She agreed, so here she is!

On top of work and family life, I've been running around all last week getting her stuff moved here and preparing for a new change in all our lives. It's exciting and I'm happy for her.  But the best part of it, my kids get their grandmother, in their lives every single day.  Big blessing!!!

Why do I bring this up?

Not only to share the Jongo news with ya lol But also because my mom asked me a pretty big question last week...

*"Are you still doing the crypto stuff?"*

That's what she asked me....And I told her....It's complicated LOL

Am I full time trying to add the stacks?

No.  I honestly have lost the taste and passion for this stuff, but long term I do believe in it.  So while it's not taken over my life like the past decade lol I still want to see where this stuff is going.  And there is only two projects I'm into, which really hasn't changed much lol

$HIVE and $LEO

This is the last week of both powerdowns, so I'll be back to accumulating both tokens going forward, while always maintaining some liquidity.  But it'll be a much more passive journey these days.  Less Jongo yapping, more Jongo curating.

Speaking of power downs and all that, let's see how we did this week:

So like I mentioned over the past month or so, I'm in this HIVE/LEO Diesel pool.  I have no idea if this earns me a penny to be honest, but it helps LEO liquidity I think with the swaps.  So it's still there.  But I did cash some out because I'm throwing it all into HBD these days for a down payment on the house my family and I are going to be  purchasing in the coming weeks / months.

So this week, the power downs stop and I have enough HBD to get out to help with the down payment.  So hey, don't ever say this blockchain doesn't provide.  All this effort over the past 6 years, has translated into my ability to purchase a new home for my family.  This...Is truly a life changing thing and I'm forever grateful!!!

Combined now though, I have...

So cashing out a bit of liquid LEO and HIVE, I'm happy with where I'm sitting now.  Time to build this stuff back up again :) Feels different with this power down....It wasn't survival mode like last time lol

Plus a nice 9.61% curation APR helped this past week as well.

All and all, it was a fantastic 7 days in Jongo land and on the blockchain :)
