Over the years I've been blogging and doing business online the first questions that pops up from readers usually goes something like this; > How can I find something that I'm passionate about and build a business from it? I smile because they have the answer right in front of them... Part of making money from any business is LOVING what you do! โค๏ธ And your audience can see through the *'fake it until you make it'* act so it's critical that you love and *I mean LOVE* what you do. I think that's why I'm so in love with the Steem blockchain and everything about it. **And now, time for some transparency...** You see, I've been working for myself for almost 20 years. Mostly online and via my written word (blogging, emails). And I still have an inner voice that tries to talk me out of pressing send on an email broadcast or publish on a blog post.. *"Why bother...No one cares what you have to say..."* ๐ฅ I'm my worst enemy as are most creatives I'm sure. I'll try to talk myself out of doing anything productive some days because I'm scared I will fail and never get any traction from my audience....But then, something kicks me in the rear end and I remember this simple truth... > Your job is to create! And do it the best you can every day. The people that matter will pay attention, everyone else just hasn't met you yet ;) **Which brings me back to Steem...** ๐ - I love to write, so blogging on Steemit is a no brainer. I get to share my thoughts, my dreams, my goals and my failures for all to see... *(Have you been reading my HODL challenges? Urgh what a disaster LOL)* - I love interacting with people in a live environment, so apps like @dlive are perfect for me. I get to share my experiences there, [do a book giveaway every Monday](https://www.dlive.io/#/@jongolson) and talk about all I've learned over the past 7 days. - I'm addicting to reading! And with @dtube I can [vlog about which books I've read](https://d.tube/#!/c/jongolson) and helped me on my journey. What better way for people to see my excitement for a fantastic book I just finished. I hope the books I recommend can help every Steemian out there! - I love to share ideas, discuss crypto, Steem, marketing and online business with others that share my passion. That's why I started the [Tuesday Noob Night podcast](https://dsound.audio/#!/@jongolson) on @dsound - And heck, I even play some video games then and again...So I'll stream on @dlive so people can watch the 40-something grown man beat the *young'ns*.... ;) **And it's all here....On Steem!** You can pick one app or all of them and showcase your passion with the world. Maybe you won't get a whale upvote today, and the only people reading your blog is your family....*But stick to it!* ๐ Here's the secret about building businesses, brands and relationships online..... > **99% of those that try, give up after 3 months. Maybe even sooner...** If you want to create something epic, **stay the course.** Pick your passion, and use one of these amazing apps on the blockchain to put it out for the world to see. And then keep at it. For a year at least....And then see where you are at! ----
