I recently spoke with a cousin who was experiencing problems with his business. He was attacked and nearly robbed, and as a result of the robbery attempt, he sustained serious injuries. Before that, things were not going well. He lost a large hotel job where he made his first millions due to mistakes made by his coworkers. It went downhill from there, and he has not been the same since. As children, we grew up together, and he was ambitious; I was more of the silent type due to my chronic health condition, but he had big dreams and desired a comfortable life at all costs. He began experimenting with different jobs and businesses very early on, until he landed a job that literally changed his life. Because of his financial tenacity, he became wealthy early in life, despite having little formal education. His lavish lifestyle made him a big spender. Despite his excessive spending, he made a lot of money, and his failure to plan for the "rainy days" would come back to haunt him. He lost his job due to some questionable circumstances, and he was not as prepared because it was an unexpected loss. He saved money in the wrong places, and he was duped numerous times. He started another business, made some money, and wanted to travel to Canada, but he was duped by travel agents and lost all of his money. He lost his few savings, and he confided in his brother to keep the remaining money, but he lost it to his brother. ## Money & Flaws **Money is a commodity that exposes people's flaws and weaknesses, and it can also reveal hidden human tendencies.** This guy used to be a "typical hustler," capable of making money from anywhere. He did almost every business and excelled at them all. I believe his weakness for women and *"over-friending"* were his downfall. When things are going well, it is easy to make a lot of friends. You are a beacon of hope and light, and your presence brings connections and positive vibes. He probably overdid the *"friending"* thing, which became his undoing. Of course, it was not a bad thing that he was a good person; he just ended up in the wrong relationships with various people. He had an acquaintance who overestimated his worth, which later became his Achilles heel. > Being a good person in life is a sign of weakness because the wrong people see it that way. Life is often portrayed as a place where you must betray others in order to succeed. You have coworkers who want to make sure you are in trouble with your employers or supervisors so they can take your position. Some people's hearts can be effortlessly and unintentionally evil, especially if they are driven and oriented toward money. This is why people who were previously successful can be treated unfairly by others. The idea that we are all competing or racing to meet targets causes people to focus on what you have and have worked hard for. Some people may learn about your source of income and take it away from you, while others simply want to replace you entirely, viewing it as survival of the fittest, even if you consider it betrayal. ## Womanizing is another expensive activity. This guy had everything. He had his fair share of women. Womanizing is expensive. You will only understand through experience; it is an addictive, demonic, and diabolical practice, and the deeper you go, the more you want to explore. I did it in my mid-20s and tapered off as soon as I could. I did not let it ruin me, and I am confident that only the fear of God's divine retribution will keep you away from it. My cousin never stopped, and when he finally found the girl he wanted to marry, he spent a lot of money and ended up being played, as did the player. > These things have financial consequences. ***Money is a beacon that attracts women, much like a siren song*** It is not just women; there are other things. Having money and being perceived to be wealthy artificially connects you; it is as if you have a squad of connections, but when you outlive your usefulness in that chain, you will fall down the pecking order and find yourself alone again. People lose money in a variety of ways, but it does not matter how. The fact that you have lost means that no one wants to be associated with that loss; people move on, which is why you must reevaluate your relevance and determine when you are truly relevant and when you are not.

> **Interested in some more of my works**

##### [Is it Easy To Make Money?](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/is-it-easy-to-make-money-) ##### [Nigeria: A Unique Business Market & Industry](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/nigeria-a-unique-business-market-and-industry) ##### [Virtual Bank Apps In Nigeria: An Experience Of Gamification](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/tfgktsjk) ##### [How To Find The Next "BIG" Meme Coin](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/how-to-find-the-next-big-meme-coin) ##### [Personal Finance: Achieving Intentional "Saving" Goals](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/snyczgol) ##### [Playing The Survival Game: Human Nature In Introspection](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@josediccus/playing-the-survival-game-human-nature-in-introspection-rufcp3) ##### ["Un-PAYING" The Debt You Owe](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@josediccus/-unpaying-the-debt-you-owe)
