I decided to title this post "Being My Own Model", howbeit, I decided to do so In Spanish. This isn't because this post is written in Spanish, or because I want to talk about modeling per se but because I'm trying to be impressionistic, I'm trying to create a different aura, a different feel to who I am.
 Sometimes it can be mundane and colorless to be predictable, for example, once in a while, I let people see an expressive side of me so that these expressions can give them a different idea of who I am, and secondly,  I'm finding my peculiar ways of being distinct or different. 



This includes not succumbing to stereotypes or standards or even conditions, or what is considered normalcy. People are obsessed with being normal, sometimes it can be even stigmatizing not to be, to appear different, or do things differently from the expectations that are placed on you. 
Now, don't get me wrong, **I am not a Model,** not even half the amateur but the idea of taking pictures for aesthetic purposes or to pass across a message is something I've come to fall in love with, this is often mistaken for modeling. 


**In Nigeria, once you can shoot something unique (maybe yourself) with a camera, then you're considered to be a prospect or a modeling prodigy.** When you are reasonably tall, slender, dark, and have a good smile, then you should generally consider modeling as a career, while some of these things are necessary, that's not all one needs to be a model. 


On big stages, modeling is a big issue, so many people started as "would be" models but didn't have all it takes to be a model, other than their beauty. At the end of the day, beauty is the only requirement, it isn't a testament of qualification. 


## But Why The Attraction?
........I generally like taking pictures, I think it was because I have been fascinated by cameras for far too long. Not the camera as a tool of photography but the components, the technology, and the grandeur. I might remain an amateur forever, but then this doesn't mean I wouldn't try.
 I was speaking to a friend about owning my studio, setting up, buying all sorts of types of equipment, and starting the real deal. I felt we could go into some sort of partnership but well, people change and one might never fulfill their dreams because of circumstances they were never weary of. 
Back to these photos, I'm back to creating facial expressions. 

The post before my last post on liketu.com depicted some facial expressions, but this time, I have decided to create some different expressions. So the house or my room has a yellow tint to it. 
So I decided to wear a yellow top, then my headwear was already yellow to some extent. In this case, I decided to pose with my galaxy A72. While shooting with the iPhone. 


The pictures showed **surprise, disappointment, indifference, pain,** awe, and **happiness**. I decided to shoot them before deciphering the expressions they portrayed, I didn't know if holding the phone was a good one, but I felt it could add an extra touch. 

## The Love For Aesthetics? 
Although, there are some other facial expressions I couldn't place a direct meaning to. This particularly showed that sometimes we wear expressions we cannot even fathom. In some of these pictures.

I decided to use a different monochrome effect, to particularly tweak the aesthetical viewpoints, I don't know how this has eventually panned out as I am only someone who tries different things. Now I'd like to see what you feel towards these pictures, how did they make you feel? Can you relate to these facial expressions?
