0.000 HBDSplinterland Rewards: The Error Of Conventional Attachment To "Profit & Loss"

#### Thrilling But Aggrandizing.... For the first time I broke into bronze I and had x9 season rewards, not that this is special, but it's a step towards progress. I got two epic cards, one common and one rare. Three Alchemy potion charge, then 9 credits. This is as far as my season rewards have gotten, and it's thrilling. I agree that I *FOMO'ED* into Splinterlands in September of last year, but then who isn't really subconsciously driven by "FOMO*? A lot of people fear to spend on ventures they might consider to be futile, in factI've seen people who say that the effort, time and money put into Splinterlands isn't worth the trouble. While I wouldn't say they're wrong, I'll say they're more scared of the output not matching the input. This is logical business wise, but crypto in itself isn't logical, life isn't logical and making money might seem symmetrical, but it isn't exactly proportional, especially when you're measuring your prospective output before your input comes in.
#### Losing Differently While I've lost more with Splinterland, some of its strategies have thought me that, you don't eventually lose for nothing. You lose to learn and then learn to advance. Take for example, the **Goblin Psyche** is one powerful earth master, with **+3** magic attack when paired with **obsidian** for a summoner, the whole point is to get it shielded from powerful sneak melee attack and one way to do this is to play it in the front line, rather than the back line where it seems to be protected, heals itself and heals the monster taking the heat in the front. But what if the opponent fails to field sneak monsters, but powerful range attack and melee? Then its actually game over. However, this isn't always the case. I love magic Monsters generally, they penetrate beyond shield and are not vulnerable to thorn attacks but in most cases **zintar mortalis**takes away that extra attack and makes them vulnerable.
#### A Chance To Opt Out Of Your Comfort Zone Now, I've famously heard that these competitions aren't that tough in the silver or subsequent leagues, and what does this actually mean? It's tougher when survival is the focal point, but it gets easier when balance is attained, and you begin to chase goals beyond survival. However, this isn't the point. At one point in time, one eventually accepts that their comfort zone might just be putting all their eggs in one basket. One of the things that propels me is the fear of getting back to ground zero, but it's better when it involves risks that I can actually control. In real-time, I try not to make too many financial mistakes, because the lessons learned wouldn't outweigh the effect of those mistakes. The world out there often feel that people who put all their money in crypto are living dangerously, while this can be somewhat true, it's also proportional to people who are also involved in real-time ventures.

Coming back to the season rewards, it wasn't easy to keep that constant grinding. This is because there are seasoned player at the bottom who are probably there because they stopped playing and got dropped into lower leagues and combination of people as well who are trying to get into higher league. I mean the competition is high, and I admit that not a lot of people are built for competition. This isn't just splinterlands but the whole blockchain space. The best ways I've come to beat competition is to constantly grind and to be unique. You have to probably know that there are height that might be insurmountable. One of the reasons why people don't try is because getting to the top is impossible. To me, getting to the top is good, but the goal is to grow, gently, not reckoning with the top or have it decide whether I have failed or succeed.
#### Profit & Loss: Crypto-Esque? Splinterlands mirrors some real life issues. Subconsciously survival is imbued when you have limited resources. However, I've discovered that best way to build an NFT or Crypto portfolio isn't about having that mega billions. Having little amount of money when you want to achieve a lot can be frustrating but, if diversification is your aim then you need to firstly understand that blockchain play2earn is becoming the real deal and of because it's promising a lot of money and excitement, it would definitely be competitive. Bear seasons come with *FUD* and sometimes you begin to doubt if all the *FOMO* and hype was actually worth it. I try not to measure worth with the dollar valuation. In fact, you cannot measure the efforts you put in crypto with the conventional **profit and loss** real-time situations. While I can't assure you that you'll make a lot of money gaming, it's evident you'll learn, you're diversifying, and you're aiming towards solidity rather than survival.

> **Interested in some more of my works?**
##### [A Personal View Into The Meaning Of Spirituality (ecoTrain QOTW)](https://hive.blog/hive-123046/@josediccus/a-personal-view-into-the-meaning-of-spirituality-ecotrain-qotw) ##### [Why You Couldn't Create Good Contents In 2021, Why You Still Wouldn't In 2022.](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@josediccus/why-you-couldn-t-create-good-contents-in-2021-why-you-still-wouldn-t-in-2022) ##### [A Psychoanalytic Dive Into Incentivized Loyalty](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@josediccus/a-psychoanalytic-dive-into-incentivized-loyalty) ##### [The Nigerian/African Disposition On Marriage As An Endowment](https://hive.blog/hive-181017/@josediccus/lghdiell) ##### [Living & Living Unintentionally (The Financial Repercussion)](https://hive.blog/hive-167922/@josediccus/living-and-living-unintentionally-the-financial-repercussion)

#### @Josediccus, your brother-in-pen & heart
*I'm hoping to reach more people who are broken at heart and spirit, so share on any platform or reblog*
###
[My Twitter handle](https://mobile.twitter.com/PERCIVAL_JOEY)
Posted Using [LeoFinance Beta](https://leofinance.io/@josediccus/splinterland-rewards-the-error-of-conventional-attachment-to-profit-and-loss)
