How many times have you picked up a notepad or your phone and started writing down your thoughts without thinking about what the title would be? After about 1,000 words, you realize *"Oh, I do not even have a title yet."* When you write from your own experiences, you become the main character in your story. Humans: we are not all fancy or perfect; the majority of what we see online is edited versions of ourselves. ## Mode-creator So, when we are in full creative mode, there are no organizational patterns in how we act, think, or react. However, we prefer to appear organized and fancy for the sake of evaluation. Most people are the polar opposite of who they are in their closets, because we want to appear tidy on the outside while being our true selves on the inside. > I am still talking about titles. Yes, titles represent what we want to be known for, how people want to remember us, and how we want to leave a lasting impression. A book's cover can be an exaggerated representation of what the book actually is. It happens frequently on Hive. You see some post titles with some crazy grammatical flex, only to be disappointed by the content, or the creator simply wants to spam some fancy new words they have just learned on their post title. ## Titles & Identity It reminds me of how some people claim to have ADHD or OCD simply because they have a headache. They most likely have no idea what ADHD is, but because it is a new word or they have only recently learned about the medical condition, they want to use it on themselves for the sake of fanciness. Titles are intended to cover identities. Most of the time, I do not look at the title of a post before opening and reading it; whether the title is dull or not, I know the creator is a good creator based on the history of the posts they have created over the years. For a long time, I stopped discussing my medical conditions or personal issues. I was recently talking to someone on Hive, and I told them about what has been going on with me over the last two years, and they wondered why I had not mentioned it before. I do not want to be defined by my illness, condition, or life issues. Except for the fact that I want to be known as that guy who occasionally talks about God and Jesus, and how I have found a new life through Christ, I do not want to create an interesting title of "that illness creator guy," instead, I just want to be something different that you can not predict based on my title alone. > Do not get me wrong; titles are fancy. .....and many creators spend a lot of time deciding on the right vocabulary, grammar, and scope for their titles. This has led me to believe that creators with fancy titles are prompted to create. It means they need time to sit, reflect, analyze, and mentally prepare themselves before they can create. This is not me. When I pick up something to write about, I am always able to create, not because I have to, but because I can. In fact, writing my titles takes less than a minute; I do not enjoy it, which is why, out of spontaneity, the title may only reflect one paragraph in the content; this is how you recognize an experiential creator. ## Guilty Over the years, I have been guilty of consuming content with good images and content depth; I usually ignore content with grand titles because they make me feel "ewwww" whenever I see them. It is safe to say that I judge a book by its cover, and I admit it. This means that I am repulsed by what I do as well, but my personality has evolved to the point where I do not immediately relate to content that lacks soul, humanity, or realness. Perhaps it is the state of my life, the things I am going through, or the lifestyle I am leading. Every day we want something different. I am not a fan of being neat on the outside while unkempt on the inside; it is either you are this or that, and the genuineness that reflects from the inside to the outside appeals to me.

> **Interested in some more of my posts**

##### [Why Is the grind getting harder?](https://hive.blog/hive-146620/@josediccus/why-is-the-grind-getting-harder) ##### [Monopoly Is the Death of Civilization](https://hive.blog/hive-146620/@josediccus/monopoly-is-the-death-of-civilization) ##### [Survival: Choas and Scarcity](https://hive.blog/hive-146620/@josediccus/survival-choas-and-scarcity) ##### [Crypto: Gut & meaningful Connections](https://hive.blog/hive-146620/@josediccus/crypto-gut-and-meaningful-connections) ##### [What is the primary barrier to entry in Web3?](https://hive.blog/hive-146620/@josediccus/what-is-the-primary-barrier-to-entry-in-web3-dfo) ##### [What Are Some Things You Should not Do During A Bull Market Year?](https://hive.blog/hive-146620/@josediccus/what-are-some-things-you-should-not-do-during-a-bull-market-year-fbh)
