In the first part of this series of publications on the Reggae movement in Colombia I mentioned the **Jamming Festival**, and two groups that are of a remarkable trajectory in the national and international sphere, in this second part I want to mention an artist with a very particular voice and a Band composed of young people who joined in the search for a great dream, and have been achieving it.

Another exponent of the Reggae rhythm in Colombia we have is:

#### Ras Jahonnan

No doubt he has a very, very particular voice. A native of Cali, his beginnings in music were as a DJ in a project called **"Afrokolombia Sound System"**.

Currently his style is defined as **Conscious reggae**, within the themes he addresses in his songs are his experiences in the ghetto, cities, violence and racism.

In his concerts his main message is: "*Jah day and night. Africa for Africans, Rastafary light of the world, unlike the decadent tendencies of this system. Reggae to educate and drums to praise Jah. "*

#### Providencia

This young band from the city of Medellin was born in 2001, when friends want to make music and join together to do it. 

Members: Leon Velez (bass), Camilo Gomez (vocals), Alejandro Escobar (guitar), Ronald Rico (drums), Eder quirama (keyboards), Luis Uribe (trombone).

As you can see the band is composed of young musicians, who at the time of the start of this project were between 17 and 23 years.
The theme of their songs revolves around the social reality of their locality and country. He has been able to participate in different festivals worldwide and share scenes with renowned artists, they are making their way in this complex musical world.
