0.000 HBD2 YEARS On Steemit! - Why It's Only The Beginning!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to quickly write this post in celebration of 2 years on Steemit! It was actually 2 years as of yesterday, but alas, I've been incredibly busy with WAM! Anyways, I first found out about Steemit through Jeff Berwick of The @DollarVigilante when he announced he was joining in late July, 2016. I jumped on board as fast as I could and was amazed by the potential in a blockchain based free market social media network. Since then, I've watched it grow at an incredible scale and it has changed my life. I can't imagine I'd have the level of cryptocurrency diversification if it weren't for SBD, but with Steem, I've never sold. Why? Because I believe in it. While I do have some concerns about delegation in the hands of too few as well as the lengthy sign up process for many, I'm overall optimistic. I think that Steemit has a chance to change the world and we've already seen a massive number of people join the network! Remember in 2017 we saw Steem drop to around *$0.60.* It wasn't until closer to the end of the year that we saw much growth. It then found its way up above *$9.50 USD* which made a lot of people on the platform very wealthy. While I'm surprised more people aren't signed up on Steemit, I feel like we're looking at its infancy and with the hardfork coming up, I'm confident that we will see an even greater site at the other end of the tunnel. With @DTube and other great add-ons to Steemit, we are creating free market alternatives to vastly centralized sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Imgur and others. This is incredible. While my payouts have decreased significantly in recent months largely due to a lower price, it doesn't matter to me. I've found an incredible community here. One based on individual demand. In real life, if you went up to someone and called them an *"asshat"*, you would either get punched or they would simply not want to be around you. Individual demand. If you do the same on Steemit, people could downvote you or just avoid you all together. Individual demand. If you do the same thing on Facebook, hiding behind a computer, you aren't really affected which is an example of how inhuman and divisive Facebook has become. It's almost like people on Facebook have devolved. Well Steemit offers us an escape from Facebook censorship and trolling for the most part and I think that's something we should be incredibly excited about. It would take all day to lay out all of the amazing names I've talked to about Steemit and trust me, there are a lot of them. We will see growth. Thank you all so much for your support. You are the best and I couldn't do what I do without you! Keep calm and Steem on! ;) *PS: I will be posting an interview regarding Steemit with @StephenKendal tomorrow. Stay tuned!* :) ----
