*In this video,* I report on the recent news that there is a growing gold deficit despite ongoing demand.

In 2012, mining companies allocated a high of $21 billion for new explorations. Today, mining companies only allocate about $10.1 billion.

Many gold deposits are producing 1.4 G of gold per ton compared with 10 G in the 1970s. For this reason, many experts are saying the world is running out of gold.

Now while many investors are worried about how this may affect them, over all, holding gold should be more lucrative going forward because of this.

Gold's main reason for carrying a world renowned value is based on scarcity, application use and demand. While it's used for many things and thus has great demand, you put that next to the incredible scarcity of the metal and you end up with great price action long term. It's just basic economics. With scarcity comes value if you team the scarcity with demand and usefulness.

Now the main problem right now is that banks have been manipulating and spoofing gold and silver for decades. They've been holding the price down. The good side to this is that considering the banks are bankrupt, in the near future when the banks end up crashing, the price of gold which has been held down like a beach ball under water will spring up!

Now, it must be noted that this isn't investment advice but simply our opinion based at looking at gold and silver historically and the gold silver ratio of course. But in the end, gold and silver aren't meant as much as investments as they are meant as wealth insurance. Something people can protect their purchasing power with against the fall of things like fiat currencies.

Of course diversification is key as we always make sure to point out here at WAM.
