0.000 HBDODE FOR THE FIRST TIME MOTHERS (FATHERS INCLUDED)
This is my short (and funny) poem about my experiences being a first-time mother. Exciting yet terrifying especially I gave birth here in the United Arab Emirates, away with my families who are in the Philippines. I got some flashbacks raising my newborn child almost 2 years ago. I can't believe I made so many first-time mom mistakes and funny experiences. Looking back with those experiences, I am surprised that my sanity is still intact. Haha! Parenthood is never easy BUT REWARDING.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmewZ1H26QGjVi1a2T9f8eVKmD2htz3XAAU1YtQDML8hAp/13241151_10153853799512600_5661327999022001253_n.jpg

Hi everyone, I got something to share, It is all about mothers who got a little one to care. I guess all mothers (even fathers) can relate, These experiences that I will enumerate.
I remember the day my angel came to the world, But it took me hours for him to hold. He was taken to the observation room, His heartbeats were fast, so I waited in gloom. Alas, I held my little one in my arms, The thought of taking care of him started to swarm. We were far away from our loved ones, To help take care of our precious son. Taking a bath, oh, I got a funny story, Do you know my little one had a bath on his day 3? Good thing, his godmother came to the rescue, My poor little one finally had a refreshing bath that he loved so. Postpartum blues, I also got a story to tell, Everytime my husband leaves, I cry like a whale. Then I asked myself why I was crying, I am just lucky my husband is very understanding. Oh, before I forgot, I earned stripes on my belly, It looks awful but this is every mother's trophy. The postpartum hair fall I dreaded that period, I felt like I am going bald and thought it's for good! Motherhood doesn't come with a manual, yes, it's true, You got to learn the basics, even how hard it is to do. Sleepless nights, clothes piled up and don't forget the messy hair, All these don't matter as long your little one is in your loving care!

I am also sharing our recent video with my husband and little one singing. Enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=255hIs56rVU
banner made by @deveerei
