ENTRE LA TORTURA Y EL GRANADO

Esa tortura que en silencio me mata
aniquila lentamente mis sentimientos
que huelen a fresa de besos lejanos
y la sal del viento se mete en mis sienes
y dispara un olor a cansancio de loco
porque le mustia sonrisa de una abuela
me atrapó antes que tú llegaras
con tu tortura que hoy como alfiler
punzadas asesinas 
que hacen sangrar la piel suave
del granado robado.

Eres como tempestad 
o tormenta de nubes caliente
que sepultan los caminos
las huellas recientes del ayer.

Un sorbo de ese fruto me salvó
de la tormenta insolente
aun cuando el rojo granado
abierto como cofre de rojos diamantes
fue bañado por el polvo de la tormenta.

BETWEEN TORTURE AND THE POMEGRANATE

That torture that silently kills me
slowly annihilates my feelings
that smell like strawberries from distant kisses
and the salty wind soaks into my temples
and releases a smell of a madman's tiredness
because a grandmother's withered smile
caught me before you arrived
with your torture that today, like a pin,
murderous stabs
that make the soft skin
of the stolen pomegranate bleed.

You are like a tempest
or a storm of hot clouds
that bury the paths
the recent footprints of yesterday.

A sip of that fruit saved me
from the insolent storm
even when the red pomegranate
open like a casket of red diamonds
was bathed in the dust of the storm.
