# The price of steem is seeing some nice momentum today

As I type, steem is currently trading at $.134.

Which is up over 10% on the day in both dollar and bitcoin terms.

It's the highest price we have seen on steem in the last week:

# Nice to finally see some green!

We haven't seen too many 10%+ moves on steem within the past few months, it's sure nice to see one here.

This price move appears to be for real as multiple exchanges are all showing higher prices on the day as opposed to one or two exchanges manipulating the price on coinmarketcap like we have seen at times.

# Mostly just a steem story...

Bitcoin is currently down and not many coins are pumping as of right now.

In fact, many of the coins around steem on coinmarketcap are actually red right now a decent amount.

With some down double digits.

This has allowed steem to also move up the ranks on coinmarketcap a few spots.

Currently sitting in 87th place:

Not a great spot from where we once were, but anytime steem is moving up, I will take it.
