# In an ironic twist, steem has never been more popular than it is right now We are currently in a crypto stand off between Justin Sun and the previous community witnesses. As it stands right now, they both have roughly the same number of witnesses within the Top 20. It looks like it will take some negotiating and give and take on both sides before anything will be able to get done at this point. One of the positives in all of this is that steem has never been more popular than it is right now. From Vitalik Buterin to Dan Larimer to Brendan Blumer to numerous other crypto heavy weights all tweeting and talking about steem on Twitter... To numerous news sites picking up the latest happenings, including Yahoo.finance...
