.jpeg)

*"Collaborating is better than competing."*

**I have seen this phrase in a cultural center that promotes alternative activities like yoga, body language and theater classes that works close to my house. Organic, natural, vegan products are also sold in this cultural center. It is also possible in this cultural center to contract Indian massage and shiatsu services. There, they practice a business model called "collaborative economics," which is perhaps, as some specialized authors are saying, a "reinvention of capitalism."**

The collaborative economy encourages voluntary exchanges, social cooperation between individuals who produce some product and use alternative means of production that meet the needs of their clients in the best possible way.

In the collaborative economy there is a lot of free market capitalism, even if its supporters do not assume this and at all costs want to rule out that their ideas are nothing more than ideas expressed by liberal, capitalist authors.

**The greatest of these authors, Ludwig von Mises, the "father" of modern liberalism, defined well over 100 years ago what is a free-market economy or as we are dealing here, a "collaborative" economy:**
>
"The market economy is the social system based on the division of labor and the private ownership of the means of production, all acting on their own, but the actions of each one seek to satisfy both their own needs and the needs of other people. By acting, all serve their fellow citizens. On the other hand, all are served by them.
>
The individual, of his own free will, is integrated into a system of cooperation. The market guides and indicates to him the best way to promote his own well-being, as well as that of other people. The marketplace commands everything; by itself puts the entire social system in order, giving it meaning."

(Ludwig von Mises - Book: Human Action, Chapter 15 - "The Market")

**Did you notice the similarity?**

Collaborative economy, P2P commerce (person to person), voluntary exchanges without intermediaries. All these terms and services that are now widely known in our society are nothing but "fruits" of free market capitalism.

**I see in all these new ways of seeing, spreading, and discussing an economy that breaks monopolies of a small, state-protected elite, a major step forward in how today's society is waking up for a free, creative and collaborative commerce.**

Long live for collaborative economics! Long life to the free market!
- ___
[Portuguese Version Here!](https://steemit.com/pt/@jsantana/economia-colaborativa-uma-nova-forma-de-entender-livre-mercado)

**Source IMG** - [1](https://www.pexels.com/photo/assorted-business-desserts-display-159991/), [2](https://www.pexels.com/photo/apple-business-fruit-local-95425/), [3](https://www.pexels.com/photo/girl-s-orange-dried-fruits-714646/)
___
Obrigado por ter lido o meu post!
=
Thanks for Reading My Post! -
