Hello everyone 🙌🌴⚡️ Welcome to my introduction post :)

</br>

I am a visual artist/communicator from Venezuela. Since I've been active on Steemit for about two months now, thought it was about time to make a proper introduction so you can get to know a bit more about who I am and what I do. 

In this platform I've found a combination of two of my main interests: creativity and technology and have been using it as some kind of open online sketchbook. 

This has allowed me to write and reflect on the things I work on, share ideas + stuff that wouldn't otherwise be seen, like details about my process or photographs *__—plus meeting/collaborating with a lot of people and receiving great feedback that nurtures it all back—__*, amazing... (at the same time still trying to understand things like Curation Trails 😅).

Here are some words about my work, taken from an article published by the Zulia Museum of Contemporary Art for my latest solo exhibition:

> The work of Julio Smitter is the result of a constant study of shapes, through this search he develops a plastic proposal influenced by the past and the present that derives in a display of abstract forms making allegory to a captured moment, a still frame.

> From his first investigations in drawing and painting his work has been synthesized to focus on a series of compositions originating from modified geometric shapes arranged in different added planes, subtracted and multiplied, thus generating frames in permanent movement, in a static dynamic.

Parallel to the development of my art, I've worked as Designer & Art Director in different agencies and audiovisual projects since 2002; from conceptualizing ideas and creating visual identities to managing print work, illustration and motion graphics.

From 2002-2016 I was part of a couple audiovisual collectives co-founded with some friends —worked there in production design and logistics— and made events to share the culture, music and aesthetics we enjoy.

During the years of regularly making events and djing I got to travel a lot around my country and played a couple of times in Germany and Spain, also shared stage with renowned international acts.
