Novalis was, if not the first, then at least one of the pioneers when it came to using the term ‘magical art’ to express that set of ideas, feelings, inspirations and thoughts linked to assessing or showing a certain alternative reality.  Cities are also, in this sense, true open-air museums, where reflections - as in these examples that I show you - form metaphorical exhibition rooms, even itinerant ones, if we stick to their sense of temporality, where even miniaturized to size of a simple painting, they offer captivating scenes of part of that 'magical art' referred to by Novalis and which other great artistic personalities also took care of, such as André Breton.  And as in any artistic exhibition, the paintings, such as those formed by these genuine urban planters, can show, from the clear manifestations of expressionism to the most distorted forms of the abstract.  In short, there is so much abundance and diversity, as far as reflections are concerned, that they could well be considered, with all justice or at least with poetic justice, as a popular art at hand.
