**Following these growth strategies mean a steady increase in Hive Power (HP).*

It was a great weekend of bonding time with family and friends, but that is another blog post for another day as I am still shocked by the crypto market crash. Even if I knew that this will happen sometime this year and have even put some mechanisms in place to hedge against the loss of value, I still got startled and felt powerless against the falling prices. Crypto is a volatile market and one where traders can really flourish, which also makes it a very dangerous place if one doesn't know what is going on or what one is doing.

# Hive price is going down

The price of Hive is now at a discount, but I feel that it will most likely go down some more before any significant bounce. Hopefully, I get some extra funds freed up from somewhere soon if / when I decide to buy some more liquid Hive because despite all of the "drama" happening around the blockchain, I still believe that this is one of the, if not, the best crypto-based social media blogging platforms on the internet. I mean thinking about it, I don't see anything else at the moment that come close. Correct me if I'm wrong but Hive might be very much undervalued as of now.

So, I will continue doing what I can to reach my Hive Power (HP) goals for 2025. As you may know already, if you have read my posts before, I have this goal of reaching `5,000 HP` this year, which I think is essential for me to get adequate rewards from delegation and curation activities.

You see, and I've said this many time before, I love writing and publishing content here on the blockchain. Getting rewarded makes it so much more fun to do, especially when readers engage. Granted that I, myself, have been remiss in engagement but it's not a bad thing to prepare for the time when I can devote more of my time to curating other authors' blogs. I know that there are countless talented bloggers and interesting content just waiting for me to read and react to.

# HPUD not on the 1st of the month

For today, I decided to power up all of my liquid Hive I have on my wallet (`40.737 Hive`) to increase my Hive Power from `3,743.532` to `3,784.269`. As the token price of Hive continues to dive, I feel that accumulating more HP is the best option. Yes, it may continue to go down, but it has been doing so for more than three months since the $0.68 cents high so we might be nearing a really good support level that can hold up to the bear forces. In any case, volatility means that there is a good chance that we recover and a reversal takes place within the year. Plus I am here for the long run, which increases the odds of getting back and seeing another big rally in Hive prices.

# Final Thoughts

I think that we should all expect the economy to take a nose-dive with the tariff wars that just begun. This means that investors will be more careful where to put their money. So having less money coming in means that we won't be seeing a big pump in Hive price so let us temper our expectations and brace for the realities happening in and around the world today.

That's it for today's post. Wishing you all a good, productive and safe day ahead.

Love and peace,
@juanvegetarian
