Привіт, друзі. Хочу розповісти вам про місце, в якому пройшло моє дитинство, з яким тісно пов’язане життя багатьох моїх колишніх односельчан. Це Дослідна станція лікарських рослин. І якщо хтось з домашніх хворів, то лікувалися саме лікарськими травами: відварами, інгаляціями, сумішами коренів і тому подібне. Моя школа була біологічного спрямування. З 8 класу в нас розпочинався спецкурс “Лікарські рослини”. Моя наукова робота, яку я захищала на конкурсі Малої академії наук в 11 класі, була “Визначення кількості атропіну в листках дурману звичайного”. Коротше, половина свідомого життя пов’язана з Дослідною станцією. Це було прекрасне місце. Ключове слово БУЛО… Адже те, що побачила, відвідавши його востаннє, після років 10 відсутності, мене вразило. >As long as I can remember, my house was full of various raw materials. And if someone from the family was sick, they were treated with medicinal herbs: decoctions, inhalations, mixtures of roots, and the like. My school was biologically oriented. From the 8th grade, we started a special course "Medicinal plants". My scientific work, which I defended at the competition of the Small Academy of Sciences in the 11th grade, was "Determining the amount of atropine in the leaves of the common dope". In short, half of conscious life is connected to the Research Station. It was a beautiful place. The key word was... After all, what I saw when I visited it for the last time, after 10 years of absence, amazed me. Хочу розпочати свою розповідь із історії цієї унікальної, як на мене, наукової установи. В селі Березоточа Лубенського району жив поміщик Іван Миколайович Леонтович. Тут у нього була садиба та цукротрест. Біля садиби, яка в подальшому стала першим корпусом дослідної станції, є парк, з ретельно продуманими алеями та галявинами. Від колишнього будинку Леонтовича залишилася лише веранда. Сам дім був дерев’яний. Згодом його перебудовували та обклали цеглою. В паку зберігся земляний насип, на якому, за свідченнями старожилів, стояла альтанка. Влітку паничі там пили чай, серед мальовничих дерев. >I want to start my story with the history of this unique, as for me, scientific institution. Near the estate, which later became the first building of the research station, there is a park with carefully designed alleys and lawns. Only the veranda remained from Leontovych's former house. The house itself was wooden. Later, it was rebuilt and covered with bricks. An earthen embankment was preserved in the park, on which, according to the testimony of the old residents, there was a gazebo. In the summer, gentlemen drank tea there, among picturesque trees. Знаменита сцена, де Попандопало ділить награбоване майно зі скрині, відбувається під дубом. Цей дуб, якому 300 років ще й досі проростає в парку Дослідної станції. У 20-х роках ХХ століття з відсіля здійснювали експорт сировини до Німеччини, Великобританії та навіть США. У 1945 році, після закінчення Другої світової війни тут почали працювати відділи: агротехніки, селекції насінництва, хімії, ботаніки. In 1945, after the end of the Second World War, departments began to work here: agricultural techniques, seed selection, chemistry, botany. Моя мама, яка працювала молодшим науковим співробітником у відділі агротехніки, друкувала на них звіти та вела базу даних. Я ж, у обідню перерву бігала грати в комп’ютерні ігри. За роки існування Дослідної станції її співробітниками виведено більш як 120 видів лікарських рослин. Працівники розробили оригінальні технології вирощування цих культур. Крім того, вони сконструювали комплекс машин по догляду за ними та переробці сировини, багато з яких не мають аналогів у світі. >The first more or less new computers appeared in the Research Station. My mother, who worked as a junior researcher in the agricultural engineering department, printed reports on them and maintained a database. I used to run around playing computer games during my lunch break. Over the years of the Research Station's existence, its employees have bred more than 120 species of medicinal plants. Workers have developed original technologies for growing these crops. In addition, they designed a complex of machines for their care and processing of raw materials, many of which have no analogues in the world. Це було не так давно, всього якісь 20-25 років тому.
