**"Get to aerial support, fast.” A command came on the radio attached to my trousers.**

**I ran as fast as I could to the nearest chopper I could see. While running, I saw many people trying to get into one of those. There were thousands of bodies on the ground. There was intense firing and smoke everywhere. The situation was desperate.**

**I was about to board the chopper when, suddenly, I felt a sharp pain on my left shoulder. I realised that a bullet had struck me, but I somehow managed to push myself aboard.**

**But what was inside was more terrifying. There were many injured people on the floor and medics were attending to them. The pilots were shouting for more support.**

**The chopper reached a nearby camp in that region. We were taken for medical assistance and were attended to by medics.**

**I was shocked to see the environment there. The camp was training young boys so that there would be sufficient reinforcements. Those boys were being ruthlessly trained by some veterans.**

**A young boy from that camp started a conversation with me. We were talking about our lives when he suddenly asked me why there was so much violence. I started narrating to him the reason:**

**“This is another war. But unlike other wars in history, this is being fought neither for land, nor for power. This is a war where the whole world is fighting for water. As you know, our earth has very little fresh water available now. Two centuries ago, we still had plenty of it. But, our forefathers misused and wasted it. So, the water level started decreasing. Soon, many countries faced water shortage. At first, countries began to trade water, but now the price of it is so high that the demand has started growing rapidly. The countries were thrown into wars with each other and this world war started.”**

**The young boy asked, “Why did our ancestors waste water?” I was left speechless by this question but I slowly replied, telling him that they surely did not realise the value of water at that time. After some time, the young boy bade me goodbye and ran back to his training class.**

**I sat there thinking. Suddenly, I heard a voice telling me to wake up and get ready for school. I realised I had been dreaming and my sister was trying to wake me up.**

**I jumped out of the bed to get ready, but before that, I promised to myself never to waste water again, so that our future generations could live without its shortage.**
