**During my last Puja vacation, I, along with my parents, went to Hong Kong and Macau. From the Hong Kong International Airport, we went to the Ferry Terminal. From there, we first went to Macau by the Cotai Water Jet. The interiors of the ferry were no less than that of an aeroplane. It took us only an hour to reach Macau.**

**Macau is a small island, but a very rich one at that. In Macau, we visited the Na Tcha Temple, and the Ruins of Saint Paul’s, which have historical significance. From there, we went to the Macau Tower. Oh! It was so beautiful. We stayed at the Venetian Hotel, which is a huge city in itself, with gondola rides, a cinema hall, many restaurants, malls, etc. We got one full day to enjoy in the hotel. The next day, we came back to Hong Kong.**

**On reaching Hong Kong, we went straight to Repulse Bay, where there is a temple of a Chinese Goddess and the God of Lightning. All the deities here are from Chinese mythology and I collected a lot of information about them. Our next destination was Victoria Peak, which is the highest point of Hong Kong. There we visited the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, which also has wax sculptures of famous Indian personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Narendra Modi, etc. We all were very excited. Then, we went to Harbour Cruise, an open cruise wherefrom we could see the whole city in all its glory.**

**After a good night’s sleep, we were refreshed to start the next day, when we went to Disneyland. I will never forget Disneyland throughout my life. It is an out-of-the-world experience! Disneyland is divided into three parts – Adventure Land, Fairy Land and Future Land. There are street parades that take place from time to time. As we went during Halloween time, different Halloween characters were appearing from here and there to frighten the tourists. It was fun. The best part was the fireworks display, which started around seven in the evening. It was amazing. Thousands of people had gathered there to experience it.**

**The next day, it was time to go to the Ocean Park. The Ocean Park is basically an aquatic park with various types of amusement facilities. It is divided into two levels – Level-1 has the Grand Aquarium, and Level-2 has the Polar Regions. As the mode of transport to the Park is the cable car, we could see the whole of Hong Kong while on it. During our rides in the Ocean Park, we all got wet. It was fun though. Then, we went to the Polar Regions, where we saw penguins, whales, seals and other aquatic animals. We also took a ride on a Giant Wheel. It was a huge and open wheel which rotated very slowly and we could see the city from different angles. Then, in the evening, we had the spectacular musical fountain show, which is considered as the best of its kind in the world.**

**The next day was our last day in Hong Kong. We went to the Lantau Island, which has one of the biggest Gautam Buddha statues. It is an amazing sight. The only mode of transport to reach Lantau is the cable car, which drove us 30.9 kms. from Hong Kong to Lantau. It is a very beautiful ride. We crossed the airport, the bay, mountains, valleys, and then reached the island. On reaching, we came to know that we have to climb 250 stairs to reach the statue. We actually climbed all of them. It was a great experience.**

**After lunch, we saw the Martial Arts show. The performers show stunts, fights with ropes, knives, blades, etc.**

**Next morning, we boarded our flight for India. After a safe flight, we reached Kolkata and from there, we came back to Guwahati.**
