Welcome back to my participation in the ZAPFIC Monday challenge. This week's prompt, "signal" has new meanings in how we interpret the language of the world during this current conflict. Individuals now are involving themselves directly  who didn't previously have any reason to. It's a universal language we all understand. A sort of call to action with a nod, a look, or gesture.

This 240-character challenge, created by @felt.buzz, has changed a bit to create a new format:  ZAPFIC Monday. The rules are below if you'd like to participate. 

As previously done, I leave here my wordcounter screenshot showing the exact word count for my microfiction story:

To Jamal, when the call came, it didn't make sense. 

But it was crystal clear to Mario, who nodded silently.

Supposedly, the group's organizers needed his expertise.

He pleaded with Mario not to join them.

But Mario cleaned his weapon and left.
