SAVE STEEMIT.COM! Steemit Forever - Diary Of A Wimpy Witness
I've been seeing these a lot more often lately. Too often if you ask me. I've devised the beginnings of an initiative to help eliminate issues like these and others, but I can't do it alone. This is an issue that has been brought up on many occasions by myself and others who are concerned about the overall health of the blockchain, and most importantly our wallets! Please consider giving one of your 30 witness votes to witness @justinadams so that it can possibly just Maybe produce enough blocks to allow me to create more seed nodes. The key to this project is not to wrest power or control from other witnesses namely the top 50. That's not the agenda at all. It's to ensure that they do not create a singularity with our steemit data in tow as they have politically and financially aligned themselves. Many people have seen my posts regarding these issues and browse right past them without thinking twice about the subject at hand. Some top posters (some who are also witnesses) even release weekly or bi-weekly updates regarding witness activities etc. Not a single one of those reports included a link or share of information regarding @justinadams witness updates though I've been sharing them frequently outlining my proposed solution to some of our technical shortcomings. Some have even responded that they would "just go to busy.org" if steemit.com goes down or becomes unstable. WHAT? No offense to @busy, but the frame of mind that many people are leaning towards when it comes to steem's health is an "I dont care" approach. According to @jerrybanfield, Only about 5% of the steem community actually votes for witnesses. That's frightening when you think about who some of the most lucrative steem projects belong to, how they obtained their votes and the entities that they represent. But that's all a different story for another time. Right now, we need to stabilize our foundations. I have resorted to using bots to promote these posts. I've funded them with my OWN cash because many whales are afraid of a "conflict of interest" by passing one of their 30 FREE witness votes. Not even a shout out. I feel like the new guy on the block that actually picks up the trash and cleans up the landscape for the community to do my fair share, and they are the guys that live in the cul-de-sac at the end of the street saying "Stupid idiot, Clean up my mess... bum". I have no issue cleaning up messes for people if it helps the community as a whole. But people at least owe it to themselves to show some appreciation back. You can do that for me in the form of witness votes for @justinadams. Anyone can vote but especially from some of you with relatively high voting weight. At this point, It would help me more than it would hurt me if this project doesn't see the light of day as it is costing me time and money im sure you can imagine. I'm going to use the last SBD (not many) in my account to try to promote this post to get support as whales have never voted for my posts regarding this in the past unless I paid them to so what other choice is left? Politics aside, hands down this is a good cause and most importantly, necessary. This is an everyone problem and by no means are witnesses responsible for owning 100% of it but if that's how people want it then perhaps i'm missing the ball somewhere? If a person cant bring themself to vote for a cause like this because of "conflict of interest" or any other reason they feel that something like this could threaten their own presence on the network, then all I can say is ![savesteemit.PNG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmU2w9w33TSSivb9vJhZ4h9LEJigUBCFWD4sQUAX8fSqho/savesteemit.PNG)
