Greetings fellow busy bees of the Hive! Moving-in day seems to be going well. There have been a few hiccups but overall everything has been great. 😃

The photo in this header is one I took a few years ago. 

There were thousands of bees in my melaleuca tree -- **Snow In Summer Tree!** -- and I spent a few hours trying to get a good photo of them. This busy little buddy zooming for some pollen was my *only* decent shot. 😅 Flighty little buggers. Never sitting still for longer than half a second. 

Insect photographers have my utmost respect.

With Hive being released today, I thought it might be good to have a more recent #introduceyourself to have up. When I first joined my intro was pretty terrible so I'm secretly glad I have the chance to rectify it. 😉

So here's a little *About Me*:

Primarily I'm an aspiring author, though you wouldn't think it from all the #gaming posts I write.

*Half Past the Moonfall* was written during NaNoWriMo 2018 and came about thanks to the @freewritehouse! It's a terrible, terrible story that needs a whole lot of re-writing, re-editing, re-everything, but it's a complete work that I was so proud I had finished. I plan to re-do it at some point and make it a worthy work.

*The Aethya's End* is a work-in-progress that has been with me since I was a child, evolving ever and over until it became what it is now -- *a work ready for sharing.* It is my baby. My precioussssss. And I can't wait to finish and unleash it!

I've been writing for twelve years now, but it's only in the last few I started taking it seriously. I credit this community with both my continuous improvement and inspiration. A lot of my story's evolution came about from posting around these parts and inadvertently putting pieces into place. 😊

I play lots of games. **LOTS** of games. Apart from the occasional #fiction, #freewrite, and #photography I put out there, #gaming is my main content.

My favourite games are decision-and-consequence intensive RPGs ala *Dragon Age*, *Neverwinter Nights*, *Pillars of Eternity*, *Mass Effect*, etc, but at the moment I'm playing *My Time At Portia, Minecraft, Star Wars: The Old Republic*, with plans to do a few new series honouring our transition to honeyed lands.

* A honey, mead, and bee obsessed woman traversing the lands of *Skyrim.*
* The most illustrious honey and mead farm to grace *Stardew Valley*.
* A nectar-obsessed family enjoying the crazy world of Sunset Valley in the *Sims 3.*

Well, "crazy cat lady" with a few #featheryfriends. 😉 Charlie the Cat came into my life as a 5week old kitten and is now a 5month old beastie preparing for his coming-of-age... in the form of a vet visit.

I love cats and life doesn't feel complete unless I have a little purring fluffy buddy by my side.

He likes to sit on top of the birdcage because it's the only place in the house where he's out of reach from the grabby hands of *The Child.* 

The birds don't mind. 

If anything, I think they feel sorry for Charlie having to deal with such insanity -- at least they're safe inside their cage and don't have to worry about the miniature human!

I like taking photos! 😃📷 I can't compare to the amazing photographers here on the blockchain, but I do enjoy going out and about and trying to find things to take photos of.

I love nature and animals, and despair when man-made objects get in the way of my natural shots. Suburbia is my bane, with all of its wires and houses blocking otherwise perfect views. I yearn for the day I am able to live out in the middle-of-nowhere and bask in peace, admiring untarnished views.

Unless, of course, the apocalypse comes and sets everything ablaze. At this rate it'll be here before we know it. 😉

*I'm also a bit of a conspiracy-theorist/doomsday-delighter, but I mostly keep my opinions to myself.* xD
