It has been some time since i wrote on a social problems. So i am here to talk about a problem that is found in many countries. I am talking about rapes.

As i have picked this problem let me share the rate at which rapes happen in my country. According to a report in year 2019 there was a case of rape every 16 minutes in India.

Can you believe that , one rape in every 16 minutes. Isn't it enough to keep this social problem on the priority list and bring some strong solutions to it. Sadly that is not the case in my country and people who are involved in such crimes are not given the justified punishment.

Let me share about a case that happened in India in 2002. A women was raped in 2002  by 11 men and later seven members of her family was murdered by the same people. Those who commited this crime was given life imprisonment in 2008.

It took around 6 years to give justice to this women. Anyways , let me share about the updates on these eleven people , they have now been given bail in 2022 and they will live a normal life again.

I want to ask the readers , what according to you should be the punishment of a person who commit crime like mentioned above ? Is life imprisonment  that is not even really a life imprisonment  enough ? What are the laws in your country for these type of people.

To avoid these social problems we need to make our women strong not by telling them to run away from these type of people but to fight them. Self defence is not difficult to learn and we all should learn some skills of self defence so that we can defend ourself whenever required.

What more can we do to help solve these social problems ? Will new and strict laws help solving these issues ? I think yes because if there is a law that is strict rates will definitely reduce.
