The expression on people's faces says it all. 

> It captures moving subject motion then generates a fully animated 3D model as well as still subjects. The 3D models contain volumetric 3D mesh, movement, and real textures (Skin, Facial Expressions, Clothing), hence we can literally put your DoubleMe into virtual, augmented & mixed reality experiences.

It has been developed to tackle what is known as uncanny valley. Unreal object in VR can cause confusion and nausea. The 'realness' of this experience is a much needed thing for VR to explode.
