**HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE** I've been busy again today looking after Mika after her Vet visit yesterday, we were there for a few hours so by the time we got back me, hubby and Mika were worn out. The Vets gave us some medication for her to take to help if she had any pain plus to settle her so she can sleep, they prescribed Gabapentin, same medication I'm on. They only have is enough for 4 doses, 1 to be given between 8 - 12 hours. We gave her her first dose when we got home, within 10 minutes she was sound asleep. Glen wasn't happy when he got home, the Vet that we saw wasn't the best, she was very abrupt and came across she didn't care, Glen got the impression she thought we should put Mika down, she obviously doesn't know us very much, we don't give up. Mika is still eating and enjoying her treats, she's still wagging her tail, she still looks very happy. The Vet had diagnosed Mika with heart failure even before any blood tests or scans. Thankfully the blood tests canlme back with no problems to the liver and kidneys then the scans came back with no fluid around the heart or lungs but need a deeper scan as she coughs so they don't think she's getting enough oxygen. We e are thinking about complaining about the Vet as she was very uncaring. Here she is after today's scan, she's worn out bless her. <center></center> We have bought 2 cooling blankets, one is on the bed for her to sleep on at night time the other is on her bed downstairs, she seems to shift between the cooling blanket then when cool enough she wants help onto the sofa abs does that until its bed time. We have tried to put the cooling blanket onto the sofa but she doesn't like it. <center></center> We were hoping to get the results straight after her scan today but looks like its going to take a bit longer. She was a good girl whilst getting her scan, I thought she might have been restless with us not being there, she had to go through it by herself, I was on tenterhooks the whole time. The assistant said she's lying still and being a really good girl. She was pleased to see us when they had finished. The man who did the scan was 20 minutes late, when he walked in with a small padded mattress to do a 20 minute consultation then charge us £600, thankfully we have Mika insured. We are home now, Mika is relaxed and enjoying the extra attention and extra treats, she's being more spoiled than usual. I'm hoping the results get back to us quickly as I want to know what we are dealing with and hopefully it can be dealt with done medication. As long as she's not in pain then we can deal with it.
