It is answered with a no by many people. These people would like to believe that when we die, we do not go to heaven or hell. We simply cease to exist. However, would it not be a God who sends us into non-existence at death, as cruel as he who allows us to freely choose our own destiny, which could be hell? Even the atheist Friedrich Nietzsche said he would prefer to choose the eternal conscious suffering to non-existence. The perfect justice of God also demands that there be a hell to punish among us the wicked and those who do not repent. We would not like this lack of justice in the streets of our cities and towns. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that he died for our sins, taking the punishment we deserved, was buried, and rose from death as the Bible says. If you really believe and trust in this heart, receive Jesus as your Savior, declaring: "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and you will be able to spend eternity with God in heaven.
