Time to adjust the Splinterlands rental cards before the changes
As we all know blockchain games feel like they are always heading towards something new and are making adjustments in the requirements and setting coming along with that.

Splinterlands is one of these games that are really trying to balance out heading towards something new, but also making sure that the revenue and the costs stay in balance and that the game is profitable on the long term. Their latest adjustment? In the rental market putting up a listing fee of 1 DEC per listing or change to the market...and that changes the game as I was playing it.

As you guys know I have been a fanatic [Splexx](https://splex.gg/?ref=xyh711ifiz76cha) user to take care of my rentals over the last couple of months and honestly...I have been extremely happy with them and their customer service and they easy of just worrying about nothing anymore regarding your cards. Just put them on rent one time (in bulk was even possible), and the rent golem bot would put them at the market adjusted price pouring DEC into your account every day. Genius!

But with the recent changes of costing 1 DEC to market adjustments this will not work anymore ofcourse because a lot of the cards I had rented out were listed lesser than 1 DEC for a rental. Especially with the tons of commons this was just fine, but will definately with not be profitable anymore.

Time to put in some changes! But where do I find them!!

First started with delisting more of the cards below about 100 CP and checking out what the current rental price were. Everything below 1 DEC per rent went back to the playing account, because I don't want to end up with that this cards would *cost* me to list and these are in such big bulks that I would be nice to take a good look at them to maybe even level up a bit.
**Step 1: Where did I do this?** -> collection tab -> rental tab -> check all cards approx below 100 CP -> shopping cart ->cancel rent listing

Now I'm not sure the step above was necessary but I did it just in case. But next to that you also want to cancel the Golem algorhythm because otherwise it will still might ahead with your cards and I just want these cards back to level them up.

The next step I did wascancelling the actual golem bot for cards.

**Step 2: Where did I do this?** -> collection tab -> Golem tab ->checking all cards and then to the green shopping cart on top -> Golem control ->Deactivate AND cancel rent

It took me a while to find where these tabs and maybe it is good to take a better look at how these settings all work.

On to the last step!

**Step 3: Where do I do this?**->renting tab -> settings-> dont forget to save changes

Splexx did an awesome job on securing the option of putting to cheap cards on the market and here you can choose the minimum price of listing of cards. I put the minimum DEC price for me on 3 DEC per rental because I want to see what happens over the next period of time.

Now honestly I am not sure if delisting your cards all is necessary (and you can just skip to step these first 2 steps and head straight over to step 3 if you don't want to make any losses.

But for me currently I will start with these adjustments to my cards, see what the market are doing over the next period of time, and the re-adjust by putting cards back in (manually or in bulk) or changing the minimum rental price to 2 DEC per card.

Changes time!
