Does Following a Particular Religion Can Be the Reason for Your Death?
**Hey Everyone!!**

In an ideal world, religion should be a source of peace, comfort, and connection — something that brings people closer, not something that divides. But reality often tells a different story. The idea that simply following a particular religion could one day cost you your life is not just heartbreaking — it’s terrifying. And unfortunately, it’s not just an idea. It's something many families have witnessed, cried over, and still carry in their hearts as an unhealed wound.

Pahalgam, a serene valley nestled in the lap of Kashmir, is known for its breathtaking beauty. But recently, its silence was pierced by gunshots — not from border conflict, but from something even more tragic: a targeted attack on civilians based on their religion. Tourists, pilgrims, and locals alike, were present, just living their moments. Among them were families who came to seek blessings, some came to breathe peace, and some came simply to admire nature. But they didn’t know that faith would become a weapon used against them.

The attack was brutal, deliberate, and deeply disturbing. Terrorists selected people based on their religion, turning a peaceful journey into a nightmare. The killers didn’t know their names or their dreams, only the religion they were born into. That was enough to mark them.

Why should someone’s faith determine whether they live or die? Why does devotion — which is supposed to elevate the soul — sometimes become the reason a soul is taken? It's not religion that teaches this. No divine book preaches hatred. No god asks for blood in their name. It's humans who twist the meaning, who draw lines where none should exist.

When a child is born, they don’t know what faith they belong to. They learn love before they learn labels. But as they grow, they are taught differences — sometimes with pride, and sometimes with poison. The people who lost their lives in Pahalgam didn’t ask for a fight. They didn’t carry weapons. Their only ‘mistake’ was belonging to a faith that others chose to hate.

The harsh truth is, in some parts of the world, following your faith openly can become a silent risk. You carry your belief like a badge, but some see it as a target. And that’s a burden no one should have to bear.

This isn't just about Kashmir. It’s about everywhere where hate grows faster than love, where religion becomes a dividing wall instead of a bridge. It’s about every person who has to look over their shoulder just because they wear a symbol, speak a prayer, or walk into a place of worship.

So, does following a particular religion become the reason for your death? In a world twisted by extremism, sometimes yes. But it shouldn't be. That’s the fight we still need to fight — not with bullets, but with understanding, with courage, and with humanity.

One question that arises in my mind is that: **Is really just following a particular religion can let you to death? How can a person's faith be this much harmful for him to cost him life?**

##### "How following a belief or having faith in something that is different from other, can be harmful for other person!!!"

Let Pahalgam remind us not just of a tragedy, but of the urgency to rise above hate. Because the day we stop letting religion be used as a reason to harm, maybe that’s the day faith truly wins.
