1.803 HBDMemories that transcend the years. WEEK 286
Hello, friends! As always, it is a pleasure to greet you and wish you an excellent weekend. When we remember our past, we bring to the present all those moments we have lived and with which we have built our own history; therefore, memories are a fundamental part of our emotional state, because if we have no memories, it is as if we had never existed and we have no stories or experiences to share with our children, friends, and family. So if there is one thing that scares me, it is losing my memories, because without them it is as if we had never had a life; they remind us of who we are and where we come from, they make us see how we have evolved over time. While it is true that we prefer to remember the pleasant and happy moments that motivate us to move forward, it is also true that the not-so-pleasant and less motivating moments were also part of our lives and give us the experience to overcome difficult times and learn to overcome them. I have several memories that I would not like to forget, such as moments from my childhood, moments of mischief and fun. Other memories I have from when I started studying at university: I couldn't believe it, I was so happy to have achieved that big dream, to get into university and study the degree I wanted so much for myself; it was incredible. It was my second attempt, as I had taken the internal admission test at the University of the Andes (ULA) for the second time to study for a degree in Public Accounting. My consistency, perseverance, and effort were paying off. If there is one thing I have done in this life, it is to be consistent and persevering in what I want to achieve, which is how I would like to be remembered over time. But my favorite memory, one that I would never want to forget, was the day I became a mother. I remember that there had been several weeks of heavy rain. I was living in the city of Mérida but was constantly traveling to Santa Cruz de Mora, the municipality where my sister lives. I had everything ready for when the time came to give birth. It was scheduled for the first few days of May, and I had planned everything in Mérida. but God had something different in store for her birth. On Saturday, April 30, 2011, I traveled to Santa Cruz de Mora to return on Monday, May 2, but it was impossible to return because the rains had severely affected the roads to Mérida, cutting off communication. On May 4, I began to experience labor pains, My water broke without pain, but I had to undergo an emergency C-section because I couldn't have a normal delivery due to placenta previa, which means obstruction of the entrance to the uterus. So, I had no choice but to give birth in the nearest town, the municipality of Tovar. My father and sister went with me, and to get there, they had to take an alternate route, as did my daughter's father. The most incredible thing was that a few weeks ago I had a dream, which you could say was revealing, as it was very similar to the day she was born; in the dream, everything happened almost exactly the same way. Thank God everything went well and it was a wonderful day for me, a new life and experience that I had to take on; the happiness of seeing my daughter for the first time is incomparable. They say that to remember is to live, so today I have relived some of the best moments of my life, which I will always carry in my heart and mind, and which I would never want to forget. Well, friends, I am happy and grateful to relive these moments; I hope you enjoyed them. I wish you an excellent weekend, see you soon. Thank you for these incredible topics. ----- Own images, banner and separator created in Canva, translation done in DeepL. https://images.ecency.com/p/cyxkEVqiiLy5czPNg6acYWUoo1sAiV6GNzi6xcqDZrP3v58peujawuERqCXWj8sjMsjuKGApUZUgVhrtnKAKkRvnMB1zUcVqsBUy5kvga4ZxsEfU9JdcXiwqpnYi6bvXXPt.png?format=match&mode=fit
