It should be something you permanently do. Finding ways to understand and retain new information can help you in a variety of ways. It gives you an advantage in life, I hate it when people think when they leave school, They are done with learning. You'll never be done! Good comprehension and speed reading are essential skills of your daily life that should be practiced. # Get and stay organized: # Organize every aspect of your life, Your computer life, Your physical life. Your work life, You cannot succeed in a mess, Your productivity levels will drop, I know this from personal experience. The process of organizing is a tedious one! It can be time-consuming and annoying, But once you are done. The effects are immediate and they will change your life in the long term. Over the course of the last couple weeks, I've been so determined to keep up with Steemit articles, That I put all of my cleaning and organizing on hold. But instead of getting more done for my business I actually got significantly less done. My stress level was also through the roof, And all of this could of been resolved with more organizing. # Be prepared # If you are taking a course, always read ahead before class to ensure that you know what to expect. Preparation is also important in other aspects of life as it improves your ability to digest information more efficiently when the time comes. Download necessary documents and install the required software. Also, conduct research on the topic that will be discussed. That way, when you get into the class or a meeting, you won't be lost in the subject matter. Also, the review of the information will help your brain remember. It takes more than once to remember something. # Take good notes: # Whether you write and listen at the same or prefer to listen then write afterward; taking notes can help improve your learning. You can also record the discussion on a recorder for class the next time. - Consider the Cornell Note style - Try mind mapping, Use - Evernote to help keep your notes organized. # Ask questions: # Never be afraid to ask questions. That's how we learn. I'm amazed by how many people stop learning after college/high school like it's some brutal and painful thing. It's really sad that we are forced to learn so many things we aren't interested in the extent we don't really want to learn once we get out of school. We should be learning what interests us, and the topics we care about! Not what we won't use for the rest of time!
