### Don't Be Scared To Ask for Directions
I can say for a fact that sometimes procrastination comes from not knowing how to proceed with the task at hand. If you’re quite unsure about how or where to begin, carefully think over why you wanted to start the task and also don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Then, identify a your first step, and you can't create a visual map from there and schedule time to follow through on it, and learn as you go.

### Always Break the Task Down
One of the reasons people often procrastinate is when they feel overwhelmed by a large task. Forgetting that you don't have to do it all at once but step by step, stage by stage, bit by bit.

Break the task down into mini tasks and put them on a “To-Do List”, schedule time to work on the task, then focus on completing one task at a time. Continue this by breaking larger tasks down and adjust your plan, as you cross things off your “To-Do List” and proceed on to subsequent tasks.

### Don’t Get Trapped by Perfectionism
Most often procrastination comes from expecting too much of ourselves all at once. If truly perfectionism is an issue for you, always try to remind yourself that drafts can be fine-tuned later.

Trust me it’s typically easier to revise than to start from scratch, and delivering something is usually better than missing deadlines.

### Learn The 15 Minute Rule
I learnt this rule not too long ago and the rule is tied to our attention span and gratitude style. First start with a task that won’t take longer than about 15 minutes to complete. No matter how much work we have to do, most of us can talk ourselves into doing something for 15 minutes before we feel tired, even if we don’t really want to.

Completing a short task within this period will motivate you to tackle the next task and get you into a productive mood which is very important. You can also start by looking at your “To-Do List” for tasks that that can be done in a short period.

### Get Motivated Stay Motivated
This point can not be overemphasized, reconnecting with your personal interests and your motivation for achieving greatness in life can be very helpful for overcoming procrastination.

Consider how this task or every other task could be made to, connect to your goals. Remembering that you value these goals and have chosen them for yourself can help motivate you to stay on track and finish every task.

### Try To Establish Productive Routines
Everyone of us whether we notice or not, we all have routines, so try very hard to establish ones that foster productivity. Find a suitable study environment, where distractions are minimized.

Establish a reasonable schedule for working on yourself and on tasks during times of the day when you are usually most productive. Maintain balance in your life to keep you rested and healthy even during your busiest times.

Finally, I'll part with these words, "*recognize what has worked best for you in the past and build that into your working routine*".
.
Thank me later.. 50 sure feels good..
