<html> <p>The agency of financial services of Japan (FSA) has developed new standard requirements which will extend to cryptocurrency exchanges of the country. The local news edition Nikkei Asian Review has reported about it.</p> <p><center><img src="https://i.imgur.com/axQh7tO.jpg"/></center></p> <p>According to the edition, the regulator has made the decision to toughen security measures to prevent repetition of breaking of Coincheck cryptocurrency exchange which has happened in January of the current year. Then hackers have stolen more than $532 million.</p> <p>It is known that identification of potential risks always was one of the major problems for the regulator.</p> <blockquote>"Without concrete decision we acted blindly, and have been forced to check carefully all aspects" — have noted in FSA.</blockquote> <p>New rules comprise measures for protection of investors and assume new control systems of the exchanges.</p> <p>According to Nikkei, the exchanges will check customer accounts several times a day regarding suspicious operations now. Besides, services have to operate assets of users separately from means for exchange transactions and keep cryptocurrencies only in autonomous purses.</p> <p>More strict measures on fight against money laundering which will demand verification of client identification data will become important aspect.</p> <p>New rules claim that the cryptocurrency exchanges registered now in FSA will face tight restrictions. A ban on trade in anonymous altcoins, such as Dash (DASH) and Monero (XMR) is actually imposed. Earlier we wrote that FSA has appealed to cryptocurrency community to refuse anonymous digital currencies.</p> <p>FSA will send inspectors to the new and already functioning cryptocurrency exchanges which will check compliance of the financial organization to new requirements of the regulator.</p> </html>
