Get Busy

**What has been consuming your time and making you busy lately? Talk about it, gain followers, and keep blogging about what you're up to, using https://busy.org and the #busy tag**. It's a good way to collect some extra Steem, especially as you earn more followers with higher SP.

The best way to go about this is to deep dive and produce quality content that's close to your heart, instead of having a blog roll that screams "spam". As always, the focus on milking it is likely to be counter-productive. Just do what you love. The money may come later. Maybe easier said than done, but hey, it needs to be said first, and it's definitely doable.

# What am I busy about lately?
Well I'm always free, but I like to make myself busy. An idle mind is the workshop of the devil they said. With that I've been busy reading a lot, writing posts that I can't finish satisfactorily (I have well over 200 drafts now), working out but not as much as I could, and advising some peers on blockchain-related application development.

Ironically I've been spending less time with family and friends these days, so it's quite the total opposite of what I expected before I dumped my dayjob about 21 months ago. I guess that's what happens when one is free to pursue their interests, no holds barred. Maybe I should also start producing more lively content, even though I'm quite a private person in general. I just feel there's some untapped potential in my blog that I haven't been leveraging for the past year.

Being someone who's scatterbrained and have a little too much interests in too many things, I've recently gone back through some of my writings and consolidated my plans. Now that I've observed and sufficiently researched about blockchain communities, I've learned that most of my past hypothesis for open-source communities have largely been wrong as I was quite naive. But with new insights comes new tweaks to the blueprint. The greatest thing lacking now in the cryptospace is a general discovery protocol for end-users, besides the scaling of discussion and consensus enabled by something like [Tau](http://www.idni.org/blog/the-new-tau). I'll talk more about this in later posts.

Oh and recently there's a change in the local government, which almost certainly means that outdoor music festivals are okay again, so maybe I'll get back into the music events (we had our major music event receiving a last-minute cancellation by the authorities earlier this year due to some political nonsense, hence the company hiatus at the moment).

# So what are you busy bees busy about lately?
Busy being busy? If you've been working hard on something behind closed doors, maybe you'd want to consider reading something I wrote last year on [Working Out Loud](https://steemit.com/society/@kevinwong/working-out-loud). I know. I'm equally bad at executing on my own words since I haven't been doing this all that much as well lol. Burn outs are real and can go on for extended periods of time. It has been almost a year for me, and boy, it sucks!
