AVOID BEING REJECTED BY GOD
“And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.” – 1 Samuel 16:1.

The most dangerous thing is to be referred to as an ex or former servant of God. A servant of God in this context doesn’t necessarily refer to pastoral work, but anyone being used by God for kingdom assignment and the “former” doesn’t mean retirement from active duty because of age, but God rejected you because of your deeds. Sometimes people who are rejected by God are not even aware.

Satan was once full of wisdom and beauty. He was covered with precious stones like sapphire, onyx and diamond. He was wired with musical instruments. Ezekiel 28:13-14 says, “The workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”

Because of pride he lost his place in Heaven (Isaiah 14:12-15). Never assume the position of ownership or become familiar with God. The only way you can remain useful in God’s hands is to stay humble, be obedient and keep on doing what you were doing before God chose you or elevated you. Don’t lose the spiritual fire or zeal you started with - your prayer life and Word study.
Never say things to look good before men when God has not said anything.

Dear singer/worshipper/pastor/evangelist, fame and crowd shouldn’t make you proud. Without God you have no voice or calling. Maintain the anointing by constantly connecting to the source of power – God. The breakthroughs that come with working for God should not derail you from your assignment. Maintain your composure irrespective of the height you get to. It is a privilege to be used by God, avoid being rejected. God will always find a “David”.
