Today was officially my best trading day in as long as I can remember. I closed the day with a total portfolio increase of 39.20%.. which is pretty outlandish. Note: this is an increase in my *trading account* balance (the account with funds that I use only for active "day" trading). 

Except for the first trade, these are all put options on various stocks and the SPY. The first trade was opened yesterday and closed today and the rest of them were all open and shut today-only. It was a magnificent series of callouts that turned perfectly in my favor. 

<h4> SPY Call Options</h4>

With the coronavirus causing all sorts of market uncertainty, I opened some CALLS on the SPY on Monday following a nice 1.4%+ crash in the price of the S&P. I closed those calls this morning for a 15% profit.

<h4> TEVA Puts</h4>

Shortly after I closed the SPY calls today, I opened up some PUTS on TEVA. I ended up closing this position for a 15% gain in less than an hour. (note: I always set sell orders for a 15% profit and leave them up until they're filled. It keeps me honest).

<h4> GPRO PUTS</h4>

Moving on to GPRO.. I essentially did a mirror trade from TEVA into GPRO and also got my 15% profit order filled in less than 1 or 2 hours.

This story is starting to look familiar, huh? I opened and shut some puts on Intel in under 1 hour as well for the same 15% profit.

<h4>and Finally, an Opening Trade Before the Closing Bell</h4>

Before the market closed, I managed to get 1 last opening trade in on the SPY. I bought some well-timed puts at this price and in the few minutes before the closing bell, the position is already 8% in the green. I already have my sell order set for a 15% profit and am hoping it gets filled tomorrow shortly after the market opens (if the market opens down).

<h4> Conclusion:</h4>

A day like today ought to be celebrated. These are the kinds of trading days that just seem to work out with an improbable degree of perfection. As Smith would say, "I love it when a plan comes together". 

My trading strategy is stupidly simple and that's why it works for me. I buy puts when things are overvalued (in my eyes) and then I immediately set my sell order for a 15% profit and then I just wait for it to get filled.
