Hey everyone! It's been a while, I hope you're all doing well. I usually use the power-up day to talk about what I've been up to for the month leading up to the 1st as a kind of blog.

**What Have I Been Up To**
So, up until last month, I had taken Hive really seriously and had been doing daily posting about a wide variety of subjects. As well as being active on the platform curating and getting to know many of the great people on chain. 

I think this really helped me grow my account and presence here, as well as really getting creative, as I wrote a lot of fiction posts.

But, I stopped daily posting at the start of May, which was a decision I made due to a bunch of work I had taken on. I really wanted to concentrate on some of these projects and cut out the daily posting. I do check in here though to see what's going on, but, not as much as I had been.

**Projects I've Been Working On**
I shot two music videos last month, one of which went out a few weeks ago and the other I'm expecting will be released within the next week.

While working on these videos I have also been speaking with multiple bands and have 7 videos booked which I will be filming and editing over the summer. It is the most videos I've ever had on the go at once, the pressure isn't getting to me though. But, I do think I should expand my team and get some help to film them.

The videos are all paid work, when it's just me doing it all it's fun and I only charge 350-450 depending on the project. But, I'm thinking of upping my price so I can bring in some more crew and get them paid too. I'll figure it out.

**Feature Film**
While filming the music videos, I have been writing a feature film script based on some events that took place. Check out @filmmaking4hive account for details. [Here's A Link To Discord.](https://discord.gg/B2r4ZvGF2R) It's well worth joining to keep up to date on this project.

This is where a lot of my creative focus has been over the last while. The main reason I stopped with the daily posting was that after putting an hour or two into some creative work here on the platform I would feel a bit burnt out. I think I made the right decision in prioritizing the script. It has been going well and is shaping up to be a great story.

**Lore Team**
There is a game coming out soon called @psyberx check out their channel to read some of the previous posts if you haven't heard of it before. [Here Is A Link To Their Discord.](https://discord.gg/xaYFkeNyJk) The Discord has been growing daily and with each week there is more info being released about the game! It is well worth joining to keep up to date.

I've been helping to write lore and creative writing posts for the game. All stories are set in the world of Psyber X and are very entertaining, everyone on the team has a lot of talent. I have really enjoyed working with everyone on it and I think anyone who likes Dystopian, Sci-Fi worlds will too. Even if you aren't much of a gamer, the stories are enough to get you absorbed in the world this game is crafting.

**Music**
I have been patiently awaiting the release of my band's second album for Dangerous Dave and the Side Effects. We're an eclectic group of musicians who play Punk, Ska, Reggae and even some Trad for good measure. The first album was good and is enough to hear where we're going with it. 

But, we've really found our sound with this second one. Hopefully, we will be launching it in late June or early July. Then, we'll probably start writing our third album. I can't wait! Myself and some friends of mine started a band recently, in the last 7-8 weeks we've learned 9 songs and have the intention of doing some pub gigs as a cover band, once we've got a complete setlist. At the moment we have a few gigs on the horizon which I'll do a post on closer to the time. It's been so refreshing playing with other musicians. During the lockdown, I stopped playing the bass for about a year and a half. But, since joining this new band I feel I am playing better than I ever have.

We are open to creating some of our own original songs. But, for the time being, we're focusing on learning covers.

**Vikings: Valhalla**
I recently started working with the Vikings again as an extra for season 3 of the spin-off show Vikings: Valhalla. It has been great being out there and there are plenty more days to come. This season is setting it's self up to be great.

**Conclusion**
Those are some of the projects that have been keeping me busy over the last while and the reason I haven't been as active on the platform as I had been. As each of these projects are checked off the list I'll become more active here. I have been trying to post at least once every week or week and a half. I think I'll set a schedule for myself and try and post twice a week on set days. I think that might help me by having a structure.

WorldBuilding, these are a great community and they post daily prompts asking that we discuss one particular aspect of our world. Whether it be a book, tabletop game or just free form creative-writing posts. It's all welcome and their daily prompts really helped to get my creativity flowing. I always like to take this opportunity to highlight a few communities I really like and spend time in. But now, onwards with the power-up!

**Power-Up**
Over the last six and a half months of being here, I have grown my HP so much, at the moment I have 402.171, powering up my account each month has helped grow my HP. But posting daily for so long, was most helpful for this growth. While at the same time increasing my reputation score to 62. In 6 and a half months I think this is an achievement and I'm pretty proud of it.

I decided to power-up by 20 Hive, which I usually do on the first of each month.

I find that powering up by 20 means that I'm not rushing. My goal is to reach 500 at a slow, steady and natural pace. Once I reach 500 however I want to start really pumping some cash into my account so my voting weight is worth more!

There we have it my HP is now 422.171, bringing me ever closer to my goal of 500!
