Hi Steemit, I'm killswitch and I just want to say "Hi." Ever since I started following you, I have been plagued by a dichotomy of emotions. I'm excited, angry and jealous all at the same time. I see all these wonderful people with super interesting lives, blogging and writing and exposing their life stories, thoughts and adventures for all to see, all the while earning THOUSANDS of dollars doing it. The excited part of me is amazed that anyone posting a blog can make a little money! http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/cdya.gif The angry part of me is alarmed that in order to make money, you really need to be an established internet presence and need the upvote(s) of a whale. http://www.reactiongifs.com/r/fngry.gif The jealous part of me caused me to write a snide snippet a while back about all Steemit is doing is causing people to write to make a buck instead of writing to make a point. I regret that now. What I'm realizing now after spending a month reading through countless posts, is that Steemit is inspiring people, whether it's for the money or whatever, there are a lot of posts that are just inspired. A few times, I've seen the writer confide that he/she has never revealed what they just wrote about ever before and that is amazing. It makes for some very interesting insights and opinions coming from the likes of Steemit minnows all the way up to internet superstars. Whether they make money from their post seems to be immaterial, the point is they got motivated to share some information, whether it's a computer program or life advice or what fucking South American jungle is the best to hike in, it's being shared. I think that's great... I'm glad to be a part of it and I hope it continues to grow, GROW, **GROW**!
