It started in 2018, you were a teenager and I was a young adult blown away by your show of courtesy. I couldn't help but write you my letter of love, for the first time, I saw someone sincerely right. You never knew me from Adam or had a reason to help, I guess you were just being you, and I was just loving you.

But then I knew it wouldn't last, it couldn't last, anything I felt had to die because I wasn't ready. But I also knew I had started something up within you with my words. Don't blame me, when I'm feeling magical, my words could also be magical and I knew I might have put you in a nest I wasn't ready to hatch.

My friends noticed I was always talking about you, and they started telling me unpleasant things, enough to kill anything growing within me. As much as I would hate to admit it, their words did quite a number of damage, but the reality of us being nothing more than an illusion killed those feelings faster.

I felt bad turning away from you, but I was sure it was for the best. I remember that little voice from within me saying, if she's yours, she would find her way to you, but then I wasn't even sure I wanted you to be mine.

I intentionally began to be rude in a bid to kill whatever feelings you might have had for me, but look at us now, oh sorry look at you now. After I drove you into the arms of another, you thought you had found love, only to be broken…

I went my way, found love in several people, and got broken by all. But look at us now with our past like water under the bridge. We've come a long way, funny how we never saw it coming, but I think it's life and its twists of fate. I just hope that this time it will last forever.

We never had the sweetest of stories, or the fairytales that brings butterflies to the belle, but for every time you showed me love, it was real, I took me time to realize that it all started with a letter of love, but right now, everything except the letter is now water under the bridge.

It's been a long time coming, I guess it was all meant to happen, but we could have never seen it coming. I'm happy for where we are now, and hope for better things to come in future.
