**Good day Steemians!**

*How's life after signing up and indulging in this platform? I hope you feel better than it used to be!*

> Being thankful shows the character of a man which is grateful. If you are grateful, you are extending your gratitude to the people around you and most specially to the one who created us. Let us trace the epistomology of the term **GRATITUDE.** It was first used in the 15th century. It was derived from the Latin word **gratitudinem** which means thankfulness and expressing deep amd reciprocal appreciation for kindness received.

*When we talk about christianity, most of us will think of going to church, worshipping the Lord, glorifying His Name, and praying but we often forgot the habit of developing an attitude of gratitude is also a must so we will become more like Christ.*

- In the book **Psalms 101: 1 , King David told us to ,"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endureth forever."** It is well stated in this verse how we should act for all the wondrous acts of our Almighty Father. When we give thanks to God, He is well-pleased. We are just telling Him that there's nothing we could do in this life of ours without God's provision and guidance. If we talk about gratitude, God must be the first one in our mind because we are created by Him and for Him alone.

**What is the healing power of gratitude?**

*I have read this self-help book by Rhonda Byrne entitled , The Secrets. In her book, she was able to quote something about attitude which says,**"Be grateful for what you have now. As you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for. You have to make a start, and then the law of attraction will receive those grateful thoughts and give you more just like them.*

>I do agree with her, if we are thankful, we are opening ourselves to more opportunities and blessings that we will more grateful of. After reading this book, I do apply this reflection on my daily life activities hence universe open its door for me. Though, its not me that should extend to someone for favorable acts, I still manage to say **Thank You.** It simply means that whatever it is , I am really thankful for all the undeserved and bountiful blessings in my life.

> However, the problem of human nature is, we opt to seek for more. We are never satisfied with the things that we have and received thus we forgot to be thankful for the little blessings that is being poured to us. No matter how small or big the favors are we should exercise the attitude of gratitude. The more we are thankful, the more will be the things that we will be thankful for. There is always sething to be grateful for.

- When we are grateful, we are making miracles happen. Why? It is because we are letting ourselves experience the ripple effect of thankfulness.
> Bor Proctor once said, (it is still read and learned by yours truly from the book-the Secrets),You will attract everything that you require. If it’s money you need you will attract it. If it’s people you need you’ll attract it. You’ve got to pay attention to what you’re attracted to, because as you hold images of what you want, you’re going to be attracted to things and they’re going to be attracted to you. But it literally moves into physical reality with and through you. And it does that by law. In relation to developing an attitude of gratitude, if we are expressing how grateful we are then everything we need will just follow.

- Now let me give you concrete examples of the things I am really grateful of let me start it with the phrase **THANK YOU.**
____

1. Thank you God.
I thank God for all the blesssings and goodness He has given and done for me. I thank the Lord, for giving me this life and for dying on my behalf in the cross of calvary so I may have the eternal life with Him in due time.
2. Thank you my Family.
I am really thankful for the family of mine. I would admit that we are not rich but my parents treated me as their princess. Though they cannot provide everything that I wanted but they make sure to give me what I needed. They have given me all the support and never-ending love.
3. Thank you my one and only.
To my beloved boyfriend, I am always thankful for all you've done for me. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and for being there through thick and thin. I always tell you how thankful and blessed I am to have you and for drawing me close to God than yourself.
4. Thank you @Steemit.
Being part of this platform is a big opportunity of improving myself emotionally, mentally so as spiritually. Through writing posts and reading post from fellow steemians, i was able to enhance my writing skills and mental skills so as my social skills because it broadens my scope of friendship. I met good people in this platform just like @siorenkierkegaard and many to mention.
5. Thank you @steemsecrets, @steemgigs, and @teardrops.
I am thankful for this blogs because they have given me a room for improvement. The generous people behind these blogs, motivates me a lot to write more quality and useful posts for the rapidly increasing members of steemit.

- There are still a lot of things I should write but it would take me more pages, so to summarize it all let end this post of mine with an inspiring verse taken from the book of Psalms 50:23," The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me, to the one who orders his way rightly, I will show the salvation of God." Thanksgiving is one of the most important element of worship. When we are thankful, we are training ourselves to recognize and appreciate more His sovereignty and presence in our lives.

Special thanks to my friend @sorenkierkegaard for giving us this opportunity to write a post like this. Truly your philantrophic acts is worthy emulating of. God bless you more, my friend.

Yours truly,
@kim24
