0.000 HBD[Week 153]: I'm for REPORT
*Image is mine | Designed on canva* ____ Let's say, In a situation where a colleague in my workplace is being caught stealing by me, I'm reporting him straight away, but in a very **coded manner**, depending on the situation and pattern. I once had this experience in my previous workplace, where I worked as a cashier in a food sector. At the front desk, we were three (two sales ladies and I, as the cashier); the two ladies serve food to the customers while the customers shift to my side for payment before they take their food (*pay before eating*). For cash payments, I do keep them in my drawer as I'm receiving them from customers but unfortunately, the key to the drawer had a fault, and the manager kept procrastinating to fix it. So because there's no key in the drawer, it's not always locked and this made me not to leave the seat except in critical conditions. One day in the evening, around 7:00 p.m., I turned my back at the drawer to join the ladies to watch a TV programme. We were closely seated with each other and were enjoying the screen when suddenly, my drawer slightly got drawn out, and it hit my leg a little. I instantly turned and saw the hand of one of the ladies close to me, disappearing from the scene. ***This is it;*** [*She tried to open the drawer because she saw that I was watching TV, but miraculously, the **slow/gradual drawing** she was trying to maintain, escalated with a little force and the drawer touched my leg. Immediately after the drawer touched me, I turned and saw her hand being removed with the speed of light.*]() I got weak; I couldn't believe what I just saw, and she was fully aware that I noticed what she tried to do. I couldn't shout at her because: - We've been living like family. - The other ladies will trash her life. I felt stabbed because this is someone I'm very close to, ***how can she be stealing from me? (Since I'm in charge of money, it's my money because I give reports daily).*** I was very sure that it wasn't her first time doing that, and maybe she had succeeded in other times and I didn't notice. Although I used to have some slight shortage on my records which I usually write off. I calmed down for the remaining part of that day. The following day, I behaved like nothing happened, but for my space, I tightened it very badly in order not to give her another chance. When the manager came, I approached him and explained to him what I had witnessed that night. Good thing he didn't make the matter worse; he just told me to be careful and be watchful of the ladies. ---- Thanks for reading.
