Thousand, among thousands, suffers from Lyme Disease in the United States. Thousands of people have been bitten by a deer tick carrying the Borrelia Burgdorferi bacteria. Lyme symptoms often mimic other conditions, including MS, ALS, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. This makes properly diagnosing an issue. As for me, I do not recall getting bit by a tick in the last 5 years. I do recall getting bit twice by a tick when I was about 14 or 15 years old. Extreme symptoms started occurring March of 2016, three doctors couldn't explain why I've been getting severe headaches, increasing anxiety, panic attacks, sensitivity to light, tremors, chills, hot flashes, joint pain, migraines, heart palpitations and more. Two dear friends of mine urged me to get tested for Lyme Disease and it came back positive. It took a year to be diagnosed with Lyme Disease. For a full year, I was told to just see a therapist, "It's all in your head!" Have you had this happen to you? Part 2 of my story, coming up soon!
