Hey, Hive! I’ve had so many meetings this week, I’m making posting here a priority just for the sake of my mental health. The @eos.detroit work is broad, but I still need to carve out some time for myself. This place has really become my corner of the internet over the last 4+ years. It’s part of my therapy. I can’t wait to share some of the things we’re working on. Can’t say anything yet, but the previous collaborations with @swarddraws are going to see even greater heights. Oh! I visited a shoot from last fall. Racquel was referred to me by my friend @ryanashley and on my long drive from Minnesota to Los Angeles, I made stops in Colorado. These images were taken in Grand Junction, CO, just before I made my way to Vegas. Racquel had booked a shoot with me before the pandemic, but our session was subsequently postponed indefinitely while we figured things out with COVID-19. It turned out, my cross country drive was inevitable in November. https://images.hive.blog/DQmUNZGL2a6bbG5jXo1EB2SXqyng68gTZ1oxHp58f4gZoDz/raquel015.jpg Meeting Racquel was a highlight of the trip, and I’m not surprised. @ryanashley is a great judge of character and she spoke so highly of Racquel. I think all of us saw this as a silver lining after six or so months of tight quarantine. To get out and do something creative was a blessing. Racquel was as natural. She is a fitness trainer and had extraordinary control over her body during the shoot; very important because I tend to come up with some crazy poses. To be on the road, seeing friends […in responsible ways], while shooting, collaborating and making money was a slice of life I was grateful to hold during the weirdest of years. This will wrap things up with Racquel. It felt great to send these final edits to her. The rest of this week, I’ll be deep in the illustration for @eos.detroit, mentally preparing for all the meetings tomorrow and Friday. Good night!
